Locations that inspire couples

"Orangeries and bot anical styling go hand- in- hand for 2020.

Everyone is excited about how bright and light these beautiful glasshouses are, as opposed to dark barns. They are perfect for romantic ceremonies and more modern and relaxed wedding breakfast s.

With a blank canvas, couples can adorn these beautiful and photogenic spaces by going green - not only using tropical, botanically-inspired colours, but also decorating them more 'historically and traditionally', by bringing in potted plants as opposed to cut flowers, to host more sust ainable weddings."

"The 2020 trend for desert dalliances following the wedding of Dutch DJ Tie?sto to model Annika Backessure promises to be huge. As do unique spaces, such as Kew Gardens, that open up their offering for weddings to increase revenue. There has been a flurry of theatres, cinemas, bars and restaurants, launching fresh new wedding venue opt ions."

What types of venues/ locations are going to be big in 2020?

Private, instagrammable venues that provide perfect photo opportunities and intimate settings for weddings with the capacity to host higher numbers for an evening party. Blank canvas venues with great views and locations which can be decorated with candles/lights and lots of florals to create a really unique backdrop to a wedding.

What types of venues are couples staying away from in 2020?

I've experienced most couples shifting away from very traditional venues, that have restrictions. Couples I speak to are looking for a relaxed setting to have a fun time and share great memories wit h friends and families.

Are there any unique venues and locations that will be on the rise in 2020?

I suspect there will be an increase in demand for eco-friendly venues that focus on sustainability.

How are venues differentiating themselves in 2020?

Sustainable venues will lend themselves to be a perfect setting for couples that are environmentally conscious. Catering is always a huge part of any wedding day; venues that can provide sharing/grazing platters, vegan options, and interactive food stations will stand out.

Inspired by the dream of creating a personal wedding design, clients are looking for spaces to add style, theatre, and a never been seen before approach to their special day.

Some of our favourites include romantic woodlands, coastal retreats right on the beach, charming Italian courtyards, and luxury, stylish, and contemporary private houses.

Renting a private house where guests have the luxury of onsite accommodation, the exclusive use of the gardens and surrounding land for a marquee, or a teepee, is growing in popularity.

To take advantage of the Wedcationers, venues are differentiating themselves by including accommodation, excellent food, beautiful gardens, a blank canvas such as an Orangery or they incorporate a Spa. With these facilities, couples and their guest feel like they have had an amazing wedding and mini holiday, even though they haven't been aboard.

Hotels with a forward thinking team, who are open to change, and can offer added benefits such as spa facilities, golfing, cinema, and beauty, have an opportunity to appeal to both the client and the family who may be contributing to the budget.
