Mr Lane, also a councillor at the City of Ryde, said the electorate was benefiting from “the single greatest investment in education in its history.”
“To open yet another local school at Ngarala is a huge privilege, and if elected, I will be fighting to deliver yet another two in Melrose and Macquarie Parks,” he told The Weekly Times.

Mr Albanese was flanked by NSW Labor Leader, Chris Minns, Member for Bennelong Jerome Laxale and Ms Howison.
”We have a an incredible society and this is my fifth Lunar New Year event that I’ve been to across three states over the past 14 days,” the Prime Minister said in Eastwood Mall.
”Here in Eastwood, we see a community that has benefited from the diversity that is here.
”And earlier, we met and had lunch with leaders of the Australian-Chinese, Australian-Korean and other communities who’ve made this part of Sydney their home, who have come and are contributing to the national economy so that they can give their kids a better opportunity in life.
”That’s a great story of Australia. And that’s the story I want to see enriched into the future.”
Addressing members of the national press, broadcast media and of course, your representative from The Weekly Times, Mr Albanese gave Ms Howison a ringing endorsement. ”I’m very pleased to be here today to endorse Lyndal Howison and I’ve known Lyndal for 15 years,” he said.

Independent for the state electorate of Lane Cove - Victoria Davidsonlaunched her campaign at the Glasdesville RSL Club on Saturday.
More than 200 supporters attended the launch where she promised to be committed to political independence, democracy and community values.
“We must fight for integrity in the political process,“ she told supporters.
”Transparent decision-making and accountability must be at the centre of our system.”
The independent candidate is a lawyer and mediator who lives in Lane Cove and is married with three children.
She needs a swing of around 14 percent to defeat Liberal Anthony Roberts MP and possibly preferences from Labor candidate, Penny Pedersen.
“We can have a strong economy, a sensible transition to sustainable energy, development which enhances our community and a better environment without kowtowing to lobby groups or vested interests,’’ she said.
“I have the energy, the commitment and the drive to deliver for the people in our electorate.”
”She is a dynamo. She’s someone who’s absolutely committed to making a difference in this electorate.
”Lyndal is someone who retrained to become a high school teacher because she’s absolutely committed to education being the key ingredient in creating opportunity, in making sure that a community like this, a multicultural dynamic community, can see its youngest Australians have the best opportunity in life.”
Mr Albanese said that could be achieved by electing Ms Howison as the Member for Ryde as part of a Minns Labor Government.
