World Pride Week

Sydney WorldPride 2023 will be held from Friday 17 February – Sunday 5 March 2023 and this year the City of Ryde will take part in WorldPride by hosting a series of events and activities designed to be inclusive of our local LGBTQIA+ community.

From queer author talks to film screenings, meet ups, a webinar and a queer prom, there is something for everyone.

WorldPride is a global LGBTQIA+ festival that has been staged since 2000, with cities competing to host the event.

SENIORS FESTIVAL

City of Ryde’s celebration of seniors occurs each year around the NSW Seniors Festival, with a month-long program of events celebrating the valuable contribution seniors make to our community.

There are many free events taking place in our community. This is a great opportunity to learn about the services available in the local area, try some new experiences and meet others!

Crafternoon And Mocktails

Join us for Library Lovers Day this 14 February. Across all City of Ryde Library branches, you can join for our Crafternoon and Mocktails afternoon, where you can sip on literary inspired mocktails, while crafting a card for someone you love, or a special artwork to take home. You can experiment with papercrafts, collage, pop-up cards, origami, or bring your own creative ideas to share. Drop-in anytime from 2.00 - 4.00pm to get crafty, and make sure to pick up a Library Lovers Loyalty Card while you’re there for a chance to win special prizes during February.

We welcome all families to our Open Day on Wednesday 8 March, 3.30pm to 6.30pm.

As enrolments continue to grow every year we wish to advise families that we are accepting applications from families in Year 4 (for Year 7, 2026) and Year 5 (for Year 7, 2025) and current Year 6 families for 2024, are invited to apply to be placed on our waitlist. This waitlist will move throughout the year however if you wish for your son to attend, he MUST be on this waitlist.
