Pura Tanjung Sabtu Site Analysis Researched on the traditional arts and crafts of the east cost of Malaysia
Uncover the traditional arts and crafts history, origins and evolution in order to envision a new architectural skin (elements).
Architecture needs mechanisms that allows it to become connected to culture. Progress in architecture occurs through new concepts.
Songket is a fabric that belongs to the brocade
family of textiles of the Malay world today. It is hand-woven in silk or cotton, and intricately intricately patterned with gold or silver threads.[1] The metallic threads stand out against the background cloth to create a shimmering effect. In the weaving process the metallic threads are inserted in between the silk or cotton weft (latitudinal) threads in a technique called supplementary weft weaving technique

The site Pura Tanjung Sabtu surrounded by a river which provide an aesthetic river view. The site also have a lot of bamboo tree. The site located deep inside of the kampung which doesn’t disturb villagers while operation time.
Because of located deep inside, transportation issues. bus and lorry hard to reach the site for delivery and transportation
The cultural center create a working opportunity to the community and bazaar provided for them to having some small business to earn some extra income.
The large amount of population will cause inconvenient to the villagers.
Target User
Mainly target the people who have no idea what is songket and get interest on songket. And also target designer and the weavers come to centre so that there can communicate each others. Help to keep songket alive and well.

Project 2 apply on the grid’s wall and take into two elements which is bamboo frame and the wicker part turn into grass thatch apply on roof.
