MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR
March 2022
Wendover News Survey
Many thanks to the people who were able to respond to the Wendover News survey which took place in January 2022. Our advertisers are very happy with the response from readers, especially those who want to work locally as it reduces travelling costs which keeps prices lower.
It is always useful to have comments on our work and the staff of Wendover News would like to thank all those who found our coverage of local news useful, particularly • events • Parish Council coverage • HS2 coverage • information about Clubs • advertisements from local traders
A plea was made for a "letters" page. We don't always receive enough letters for a complete page. Instead, letters are included in "Local News" with name attached.
There were some comments about the number of advertisements. This is how a free publication obtains revenue to cover costs. Wendover News has no other source of revenue. Print is expensive and the cost of paper has escalated during the pandemic. Most respondents received Wendover News through the door, preferred to read it in print and to correspond by email. Many thanks to our volunteer deliverers. Wendover News is very keen to hear from the 8K+ readers who access our online presence through our website, Facebook and Twitter.
We welcome unsolicited articles and publish if we consider them to be informative, locally relevant, accurate and non-inflammatory. If you would like to support Wendover News in governance or another way, please get in touch, contact details in the right hand column on this page.
