Little Troopers in Wendover raise £530 for military charity
Military children from Wendover C of E Junior School have raised £530 for national charity, Little Troopers, by coming to school in their pyjamas. All 360 children at the school took part in the mufti-day to raise money in support of their military peers as part of Little Troopers annual ‘Fundraise February’ campaign.
Station Commander Coins
Congratulations to Dr Stephanie Rutherford of the Medical Centre, and Chief Technician (Chf Tech) Edgar who each received a Station Commander’s Coin in February.
Dr Rutherford (photo above), whose cheerful demeanour and professionalism instils a high level of confidence in her consultation and advice, is awarded the coin for her tenacity in patient care. One such example saw her persisting with a patient who was cleared by an A&E doctor, ensuring a further follow up that led to the patient being immediately admitted for emergency surgery.
Chf Tech Edgar is the current Officer in Charge of the RAF Halton Winter Sports Club and has been organising monthly visits to the local indoor snow slope for station personnel. He also delivers the Central Fund brief for Phase 1 trainees, demonstrating his passion for sport and the positive impact it can have for the service and its people.
