Wendover Celebrates - Saturday 4 June 2022

As you are, hopefully, aware – Wendover Celebrates is finally back this year. It has been a long wait and we are very much looking forward to the community coming together again and celebrating all things Wendover and, of course, Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It was ten years ago in 2012 that Wendover Celebrates in its current form began so it is the perfect opportunity for a special celebration whilst raising funds for local causes.

We do hope that as many of you as possible will be coming to join us and we are currently busy making it all possible. We will, once again, be at the Chiltern Way Academy site with an afternoon and evening full of fun. We will not be having stalls this year, but you can expect a wide range of catering outlets, bars and soft drinks’ stalls to enjoy around the central arena, where the activities will take place. Then in the evening an array of local talent will entertain us on the main stage and the evening will culminate with a “quiet” firework display set to music.

We are in the process of organising a fancy dress parade for the children, the ever-popular dog show and, of course, the tug of war competition.

But we are now looking for people to take part in other arena activities – if you are a member of a group, club or society that would like the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and skills, please get in touch and we will try to book you a slot.

We look forward to welcoming you on Saturday 4 June from 2pm.
