HS2 in Wendover

Work for the construction of the temporary diversions of Nash Lee Road and Nash Lee Lane is progressing well with these roads expected to be open by the Autumn. These diversions are to enable us to construct the cutting for the HS2 line, and to complete the permanent realignment of Nash Lee Road, including a road bridge to take traffic over the HS2 line. The new road layout will also include a new junction for Nash Lee Lane.

The temporary diversion of Nash Lee Road includes a bridge that will allow traffic to pass over our construction site which will enable our vehicles to pass underneath as well as to enable us to complete the construction of the project without impacting road traffic; reducing the impact on road users.

Although the roads don’t currently have

footpaths, we are introducing a pavement on the temporary diversions in order to maintain connectivity for footpath ELL/25/1 from the direction of Wellwick Farm which exits onto Nash Lee Lane.

Both Nash Lee Road and Nash Lee Lane will be open for the duration of the project although we may need short duration overnight closures and lane closures from time to time.

Don’t forget to register for email updates on the HS2 website which will give you a choice of how you would like to receive information from us. To find out more visit your community website at www.hs2.org.uk/in-your-area/.
