John Colet School opens new 3G Football Pitch

The opening coincided with the school's sports festival and included a visit from world-class freestyle footballer Jamie Knight, who demonstrated his abilities and spent 30 minutes with a group of Year 7 students, teaching them freestyle skills.

A short reception followed, during which Headteacher Patrick Harty thanked everyone present for their support.

The feelings expressed by both Rob Dalby from Wendover Junior Football Club, which uses the pitch extensively, and Jon Wood from the Berkshire & Buckinghamshire FA were that the pitch is a fantastic addition and a wonderful community asset. Both are looking forward to further developments and more integration with the school in the future.
