Wendover Youth Centre August Update
Wendover Youth Centre is running a summer programme called Project Engage. We will be running free workshops in Baking, Football, Art, Music and Gardening throughout the summer and on Thursday 1 September running a youth festival for school years 5-new year 7’s at Ashbrook / Castle Park in Wendover.
The opening coincided with the school's sports festival and included a visit from world-class freestyle footballer Jamie Knight, who demonstrated his abilities and spent 30 minutes with a group of Year 7 students, teaching them freestyle skills.

Football
Active in the Community will be running football
sessions on the John Colet 3G football pitch. In the 3:30-5pm 19/07, 26/07, 02/08, last week of summer, there will be an opportunity 09/08, 16/08 to go to see a football match.
Art Workshop
Local Established 2006
These sessions will explore a different type of art
each week at WYC. For example, pottery, spray 5-6:30pm 20/07, 27/07, 03/08, paint and t shirt making. In the final week of 10/08, 17/08 summer there will be a trip to an art gallery.
Cooking/Baking
A variety of baking and cooking sessions hosted by
different people, held at WYC. In the final week of 7-8:30pm 20/07, 27/07, 03/08, summer, the young people will run a cake stand at 10/08, 17/08, 31/08 the younger youth festival.

This workshop will consist of two, longer music studio sessions in a professional recording studio at Youth Concern. There will be a trip in the final week of summer to a musical in London.
