Ballet & Creative Movement Ballet is a disciplined dance form allowing the student to attain graceful movement and flexibility while learning the fundamentals. Dancers will learn the basics of ballet through the creative elements of play. Students will perform a dance during the last class for families. PLAY Hockey 4-6yrs If you enjoy playing hockey but don’t want the commitment of minor hockey, then this is the program for you. Each session will consist of basic hockey and skating instruction along with a half hour of playing the game. For a fun and safe experience, full hockey equipment is recommended but the minimum required would be; hockey specific skates, helmet with full cage/ shield, gloves, elbow and shin pads. Pre-Hockey/Ringette For confident skaters that want to further develop their skating skills while adjusting to wearing all the necessary equipment for hockey/ringette. players will get to work on the FUNdamentals; agility, basic puck/ring control and enjoy a fun game or scrimmage for the last five minutes of class. Players are required to wear full gear including a helmet with the sport appropriate cage/shield. Dome Play Day All the fun from our summer program brought inside for the spring! A casual drop-in program for children and their parents/caregivers to enjoy some space to run and play. Please bring shoes to change into. Food and drinks are not permitted in the dome. Water bottles are welcome. Play equipment will be cleaned weekly.

LESSONS INFORMATION:

Dress warmly in attire that won’t stick to the ice or get wet. Snow pants strongly recommended. Elbow and knee pads are also a good idea. There are skates and helmets available to borrow for the classes.

Please inform staff of the skate sizes required when registering for the program.

Skating-Preschool Level 1 This class is for children with very little or no experience on the ice. Let our instructor show you how much fun you can have learning to skate while building confidence and becoming more comfortable on the ice. The little skaters will learn to stand unassisted, balance, fall safely, stand back up and take their first steps. LOCATION: Jim Lind Arena INSTRUCTOR: TBA
