Bronze Medallion 13yrs + (B) Learn self-rescue techniques, defense and release methods, tows and carries. Rescues include conscious and unconscious victims of various types, including spinal injuries, and circulatory emergencies. Endurance is evaluated through a 500 metre timed swim. Price includes Canadian Lifesaving Manual.

Bronze Cross & CPR-C (B) Candidates develop proficiency at performing patient assessments, managing aquatic spinal injuries and preventing the loss of life in a variety of aquatic emergencies. Stroke endurance and fitness training skills will also be practiced. Endurance is evaluated though a 600 metre timed swim. Bronze Cross includes a CPR-C Certification.

National Lifeguard (NL) Recert 16+yrs (M) This combination precertification and recertification clinic provides candidates an opportunity to review NL skills and receive updates in the morning prior to testing that afternoon. Candidates will also be tested on National Lifeguard fitness standards.

Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) 15yrs (B) This course prepares candidates to teach all of the levels of the Red Cross Swim program. All aspects of the instruction and leadership necessary to become a Red Cross Instructor are taught in a dynamic active format. Students will be evaluated through peer-teaching and teaching portions of Red Cross swimming lessons. The first day, Oct 3, will be 9:00am-3:00pm and will include a swim stroke and skill evaluation and they will receive their WSI Developmental Package. The next class is on Oct 24. This gives the students two weeks to complete the first portion of the course online. This MUST be done and the certificate of completion from Red Cross must be presented to the course conductor.
