AQUATICS Lifesaving for Lay Rescuers Designed to offer basic, low risk water rescue training to individuals who spend time in, on or around the water. This course will teach weak or non-swimmers how to help in water rescue situations.

Alter and repair clothing yourself. Sew buttons, take in and let out garments, replace zippers and hem pants, bring your own clothing items.
You will experience a comprehensive introduction to the art of pottery. Explore basic methods of hand building, glaze, and learn about the wheel. Experienced potters welcome.

Papermaking
Painting with Pastels Pastel paintings emit an unmatched intensity of colour. Portraits, landscapes or still life - you will be guided through composition, design, colour and technique toward a successful painting.
Go through the steps of this ancient art as we make pulp from recycled materials, screen it, and dry it. Dye baths and textured backgrounds create effects. Handmade paper makes beautiful greeting cards, book covers, gift tags, and more!

Precious Metal Clay Jewellery
Learn the basics of sock knitting including how to knit on four needles and turn a heel. A light, portable project that you can knit anywhere.
Learn the basics of metal clay which is shaped by hand or using moulds. After drying, it is fired to burn off the clay binder, and polished to reveal the precious metal. Participants make 2 or 3 original pieces (pendant, earrings) in silver and bronze. Supplies included.
