DECEMBER - 2015

DICK WHITTINGTON and his Mousehole Cat!

Festive family fun for everyone… Sun 6 December – Sun 3 January Hall For Cornwall

The no.1 events listing guide for Cornwall - FREE

The month that is Christmas is upon us and there’s plenty in this guide to keep you entertained over the next few weeks. However, looking forward to 2016, with so much happening across Cornwall, could a weekly creative adventure could be your New Year’s Resolution?

The effortless and beautiful dance company C-Scape will be re-touring their show, Taste. Look out for Roald Dahl’s Witches at the Hall for Cornwall. Newlyn Art Gallery will still have the Naomi Frears exhibition on and the long-awaited Tate St Ives 2, will excitingly open later in the year. We’ve just skimmed the surface, so keep an eye on our website and social media for up-to-date ideas and suggestions.

Cornwall 365 would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, culturally active, heritage inspired 2016. Have fun!

Scary Little Girls will be performing their Full Bronte, the Vikings are still in residence at National Maritime Museum along with an exhibition celebrating women at sea. The bike trails along the Cornish Mining WHS Mineral Tramways are ALWAYS open, and so are the gardens. Carn to Cove’s rural touring programme will be awash with live music, performance, theatre & dance and don’t forget to check out the C-fylm schedule of films you have always wanted to see but missed at the cinema.

Events

Ho Ho Ho! Here at WoC HQ we’ve been wearing our seasonal deely boppers and only drinking eggnog since the end of October and we’re still not sick of Christmas.... which is a good thing as the first half of this guide is entirely devoted to pantomimes, paper hats and presents. If you’ve had enough of all that already, why not turn to the back of the guide and check out all the art, theatre and music events taking place in a less festive fashion. I’m escaping the whole Santa shebang and sloping off to India for a few weeks to practise my downward dog and recharge the batteries. Ellen will be helming the ship in my absence so keep your events for the new year coming. Our resolution for 2016 is to take what we’ve achieved so far and develop into something even bigger and better. We have a few exciting ideas under wraps… we’ll let you know when we’re ready to rip the paper off. Happy Christmas, thank you for all your support, and we wish you a marvellous 2016.
