You must take precautions against the danger of heat exhaustion and heatstroke for their pets. The temperature in a parked car, even in the shade with the windows partly open, can rapidly reach a level that will seriously harm or even kill your pet. Leaving you pet in a car with the air conditioning on is also taking a risk as many pets have died as the result of a faulty air-conditioning system. Dogs (and cats) cool themselves by panting and by releasing heat through their paws. On summer days the air and upholstery in your vehicle can heat up to high temperatures that make it impossible for pets to cool themselves. Your dog will be more comfortable if left at home.
422101-20130514-CVE-C-WoofysDiscountPetFoods 1 collapse, coma and death. Emergency treatment for dogs If your dog shows symptoms of heatstroke follow these instructions: Immediately move the animal to a cool, shady place.
Wet the dog with cool water. Fan vigorously to promote evaporation. This process will cool the blood, which reduces the dog’s core temperature.
Do not apply ice. This constricts blood flow which will inhibit cooling.
If you see a dog in a car on a warm or humid day who you believe may be in trouble, ask stores to page customers. If the dog is in distress call your local SPCA, animal control or police immediately.

HONEY
Howe and Sons are in the business of bee keeping and making
We want to promote bees and what they can do for all of us. Anyone can become a bee keeper, you just need one hive. Having bees, doesn't just provide honey it will help with the growth of your garden. The wax that is made has many different uses. We will be offering bee starter kits for new comers to bee keeping or equipment, hives, frames and other accessories to bee and honey enthusiasts. You can try a hive in your garden this year with no obligation of having to keep or look after it just let us know. You can ďŹ nd links on our web site to different types of bee information before you get started. We are happy to deliver everything you need directly to you to help you get started. Bees have been a great experience and something that was easy for my sons and I to start together. For me it happened so simply after visiting the fall fair, after an enthusiastic gentleman explained at the bee display the need for bees and his gentle educational way in which he spoke to us was all it took.
