Crime is a physical act, defending yourself against crime requires physical practice. Knowing how to protect yourself creates a shield of self-confidence allowing you to discourage an attack before one even starts. The most effective form of self-defence is doing everything possible to avoid fighting, learning how to avoid fear and freeze mode by using the power of your mind first. Become confident but not aggressive, become physically fit and strong. Self defence training tones your muscles, melts your fat and improves your body metabolism. Some of the many empowering experiences students often feel are; - Increased self-confidence and self-esteem through greater self-acceptance - Improved assertiveness - Improve relationships - Become more physically connected with your body - Break through impasses or prior traumas of abuse - Feel safer when you are stronger - Reduce anxiety of panic related to confrontations - Develop trust in environmental perceptions - More control in your life Self defense classes help you set goals. Whether you want to nail a specific move, or work hard to feel like you can protect yourself, you are setting a goal. When you take your goal setting seriously within your self defense classes, it will transfer into your everyday life, helping you get through any tough situation that life puts in your path.
