Tour De Rock Kyle Hi, I'm Kyle Ushock, the Campbell River RCMP Tour de Rock rider in the 2014 Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock. Much like many families, mine has had its share of dealing with cancer. From my dad, Don who successfully battled thyroid cancer when I was a kid, to my grandmother (nan) who lost her battle in September of 2013 when Tour de Rock came thru Campbell River. The The Tour de Rock team, which is made up of police officers, auxiliary police officers and military police officers, all cycle from one end of the Vancouver Island to the other, over 14 days, covering over 1,000 kilometers. Saturday, August 30 Tyee Chevrolet Buick GMC 5th Annual Car Show fundraiser for the 2014 Tour de Rock takes place on August 30th at 570 13th AVE Campbell River, 9am to 2pm. The new and used car lot will be cleared off to welcome vintage, classics, muscle cars and hot rods of all makes to help raise funds for the Tour De Rock 2014. Entry fee will be a minimum donation of $10.00 per vehicle. Hamburgers and hotdogs will also be sold. Saturday September 6, 2014 Join Kyle as he along with other members of the Campbell River RCMP put on a bike safety day. Staff from Swicked cycles will be assisting with making sure bikes are in great shape and and helmets are fitted properly. Boston Pizza will be supplying snacks. Please bring all empty bottles and cans as they will be sorted and recycled at Encorp in Campblleton. All funds raised will be going to Tour de Rock. Sunday September 7, 2014 Tour de Rock Scavenger Hunt: A team may consist of as many people that can legally fit into one vehicle.

Prizes to be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams who complete the most items on the list. Monday September 8, 2014 Boston Pizza Celebrity service night, come join celebrity servers in Red Serge along with Kyle at Boston Pizza from noon to 10 p.m.. 10% of all sales will be donated to Tour de Rock rider, Kyle Ushock. Ongoing Activities: Bottle Drive at Encorp - Donate while you recycle ! Tour de Rock rider, Kyle USHOCK has set up an account where donations are accepted at the Encorp return it centre, help send a kid with cancer to camp and do your part to save the environment. Bike Raffle: Boston Pizza and Swicked cycles have teamed up to raffle off a Rocky Mountain Vapor 27.5� mountain bike. Tickets are limited and will be available at Boston Pizza and Swicked soon.

Meet at the Big House at Foreshore Park prior to 1pm with your full team. Teams will receive a sealed envelope which contains a list of item(s) they must attempt to gather, photograph and/or complete activities within a 3 hour time frame, bringing those items and/or photographs back to Foreshore Park on or before 4pm where judges will tally their points. Each year since the Tour De Roc, concept Thrifty Foods have put their hand up to work along side other volunteers to raise funds for the riders that contribute time and effort for cancer suffers, survivors and legacies. More than a donation, the staff of Thrifty Foods Campbell River rally to the cause raising funds. Ten years ago, people like Tom Morgan, employed by Thrifty Foods Campbell River with the enthusiasm

of Thrifty Foods, got together with fellow volunteers to start the famous Cops for Cancer Golf Tournament, today it is one of the most successful golf tournaments on Vancouver island. Ray Dagenais, golf tourney chair says, “the tournament reached a new fundraising record for 2014, not only was it another sold out event, with heads shaven, we raised a record $44,200.
