My New Office
I was counting down the days to when we moved out of our current office and into our new one. It’s amazing what a new workspace can do for motivation and getting things done. Now that we have been working from my new home office, I’ve gotten so much done. As they say “The harder you work, the luckier you become.” My limestone flooring with under floor heating was supplied and fitted by Padstone who have become our ‘go to’ company for all types of natural stone flooring (see below). From our bathrooms to our halls and dining room floor, Padstone have supplied and fitted everything including the under floor heating when required. Owner Patrick has always provided an excellent choice and service and brings his wealth of experience to the task. There is always something we hadn’t thought of which brings the whole thing together and makes life much easier once the job is finished. All of the lighting, switches and new sockets were installed by Papworth Electrical. Owner Tom worked with us to achieve a look which, while providing all the sockets and power we needed, didn’t look too industrial. All of the office equipment now has it’s own dedicated fuse board which will prevent any issues in the rest of the house affecting it. Tom was able to work with Padstone so that each part of the project fitted in with the next and finished on time, this often involved calling back in at unusual times to make sure it all ran smoothly. My new office will be warm in the winter and cool in the summer giving a superb working experience. ..... Anna Townsend - What’s On Editor.

B
owler Crab recently presented their pleasure-filled production of Much Ado About Nothing at Half House Farm, Three Oaks. Like all of Shakespeare’s comedies, Much Ado is about creating harmony out of the mixture and tangle of human desire and Director Stephen J John has certainly accomplished that. The audience never stopped rooting for Oliver J Towner & Sabina Arthur, radiant in their roles as Benedick and Beatrice - the wittiest man and woman ever to be too busy exchanging insults to recognise that they are in love. The final clinch had been long in coming! Nicely inflected comedy is provided by Andrew Godfrey as the language-mangling Dogberry who grandly leads a motley crew of inept civil defense watchmen. The rest of the company easily mix elegance of characterization with knock about humour, resulting in one of the most enjoyable comic evenings ever. See below for details of their next performance.

by Dennis Potter Presented by The Summer Theatre Company at the delightful Barn Theatre in Smallhythe. With beautiful gardens available to picnic. On an idyllic summer afternoon in 1943, a group of children play in the hills and fields of the Forest of Dean. With no adults around, they indulge in spontaneous games and horseplay - sometimes echoing the distant war, at other times revealing their own insecurities and petty vindictiveness. But as they tease, fantasise and fight the day away, their innocence is about to be destroyed forever...… Originally written for television and first broadcast in 1979, one of the famous features of the play, at the insistence of the writer, is that all the roles of the children have to be played by adults.

ell Hailsham is looking great these days, the town improvement works have done so much to freshen up the high street, and there seems to be lots of new businesses opening too, always a good sign that it’s the place to be. Our very favourite place to visit there is Callenders Restaurant. We go there on a regular basis. Callenders is the kind of restaurant you would love to find when you’re on holidays, you know, just out of the center, staffed by locals with real care for their customers, and serving genuine local foods cooked with love and skill. Fresh fish, all homemade desserts, wild Local Game, good wines, Summer Salads and amazing Steaks cooked on the chargrill. We love a good steak, and if you would like a really great one then Callenders is the place to go. Especially on a Friday night when a glass of draught beer and any dessert of your choice is included in the price. They’ve got Fillet, Sirloin,Venison, Tuna Steak, T-Bone Steak and even a half-pounder beef burger or chargrilled chicken breast. Wow, give them a call today.

Garden Services High Summer at Pashley Gardeners love to eat what they grow and since in July an abundance of produce is ready to enjoy, after all the planning, planting and hard work, what better time for Pashley Manor, on the border of Sussex and Kent, to dedicate a week to the Kitchen Garden. During the eight days of the Kitchen Garden Week, 8th July to 15th July, there will be the chance to talk to the gardeners and ask questions and advice, as well as a focus on how the produce from the garden is used in the café menus; plus there will be local honey and homemade chutney on sale in the Gift Shop. The cookery book ‘From the Garden’, based on Pashley’s Kitchen Garden and written by the owners’ daughter Hattie Klotz, with pictures by Leigh Clapp, will also be on sale in the Gift Shop. Throughout July there are also lots of gorgeous, perfumed lilies in the gardens and the herbaceous borders are in full bloom. See pashleymanorgardens.com or call 01580 200888 for more details.

Clients are then prescribed products for use at home and in-salon treatments. The treatment will be tailor-made to address specific skin concerns that have been highlighted in the scan. - 65 -
