As events begin to return to Whitby and the surrounding area with the easing of pandemic restrictions, local organisations, societies and clubs are getting in touch once again to let us know of their community events and activities. We plan to re-introduce our popular What’s On listings in our forthcoming issues so if you are an event organiser, please email details of your event to info@whitbyadvertiser.co.uk or write to Whitby Advertiser PO Box 120 Whitby YO21 3ED. What’s On listings are free for local charities and community organisations and ideally should not exceed 20 words. For all other event organisers, a small charge of £20 applies. If you are an event organiser, and need advice on adhering to current guidelines including Covid risk assessments, please contact your local council or visit www.northyorks.gov.uk/guidance-events SUNDAY 1ST AUGUST Beach Hut Sundays. 12pm - 4pm. Every Sunday in August, (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th). View a different artist’s work in a beach hut on Whitby beach. THURSDAY 26TH AUGUST A Strawberry Cream tea will be held on Thursday 26th August at Mill Cottage, 50 High Street, Hinderwell TS13 5ES 2.30-4.00pm by the kind permission of Christine Harrison. There will also be a Cake Stall and Raffle. The proceeds for St Hilda’s Church, Hinderwell. Any Covid regulations in place at the time will adhered to. All welcome.
