As events begin to return to Whitby and the surrounding area with the easing of pandemic restrictions, local organisations, societies and clubs are getting in touch once again to let us know of their community events and activities.

WHITBY PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY PRE-SEASON MEETING at 7p.m. at Whitby Sixth Form Caedmon School - Airy Hill. (Please note change of venue). The new seasons’ programme will be presented and the thinking behind the competition themes explained Everyone welcome.

AN EVENING OF CLAIRVOYANCE WITH DONA BELL at The Coliseum, Whitby. 7pm to 8.30pm, admission £5, proceeds to charity. (No social distancing).

YORKSHIRE COUNTRYWOMEN’S ASSOCIATION, SLEIGHTS BRANCH MEETING at Sleights Village Hall 2pm, The speaker is from the Dog’s Trust. Raffle, tea and biscuits, book exchange and good company. the stunning beautiful Rosedale Railway Circular. All proceeds will kindly be donated to the Whitby Hospital Appeal to add that ‘extra sparkle’ to the Whitby Hospital Rebuild. Food and refreshments will be provided at Danby Village Hall after the walk where a raffle will also be held (donated prizes SUNDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER gratefully received).
