A Year in Review: Annual Report Highlights Whitehorse City Council is proud to present its Annual Report for the 2017/2018 financial year.

Here are some of the highlights:

The Annual Report 2017/2018 details Council’s achievements against the Council Plan 2017-2021.The report also provides an account of Council’s financial performance and demonstrates the wide range of services Council provides to the Whitehorse community. 26,750 maternal and child health consultations with more than 6000 families

$1.184m invested in community groups through grants

651,930 visitors to our libraries

1296 planning applications processed

53 sports fields maintained

1262 new trees planted; 75,000 street trees maintained

Have your say on library services Whitehorse Manningham Libraries is inviting the community to take part in a survey so they can understand what they can improve on and what the library service should look like into the future. Respondents go into a draw to win Visa and Westfield gift vouchers. The survey can be found at www.wml.vic.gov.au or at a library branch. The survey closes at 5pm on Friday 23 November.

3.3 million garbage bins, 2 million recycling bins and 633,000 green organics bins collected

Christmas gift appeal Help families in need this festive season by donating a gift to the Eastern Emergency Relief Network Christmas gift appeal. Gifts can be dropped off at Council’s Customer Service Centres in Nunawading, Forest Hill or Box Hill between 1-14 December.

2019 Whitehorse Calendar

Rates instalment due

Keep your eyes out for Council’s 2019 community calendar, which will be delivered later this month.

A reminder for ratepayers who are paying their 2018/19 rates by instalments.

If you have not received your copy by Monday 10 December, please phone Council on 9262 6333 to have one sent to you, or drop in to one of our customer service centres to collect one.

Community Spirit Our local community celebrated the start of Whitehose Festival Season last month with the annual Whitehorse Spring Festival. The SES was just one of the many community groups mingling with the locals in the glorious sunshine.
