Worship Center Spring 2013 Registration is Open

HBC is an affordable way to prepare yourself for further ministry or to expand your Biblical knowledge. Spring registration is open from November 1 through December 6. After December 6 all registrations are subject to a late fee. Classes begin Monday, January 7, 2013. HBC offers a Master of Arts in Religion degree with emphases in Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Youth and Children’s Ministry; a Bachelor of Arts in Religion degree; a Certificate of Biblical Studies; and a Graduate Certificate of Biblical Languages. All classes meet on Monday nights. Heritage Bible College has achieved Applicant Status with the Association for Biblical Higher Education. RESOLVED STUDENTS High School Christmas Banquet

Join us as we celebrate the real reason for the season at the High School Christmas Banquet. This night of food and festivity is Wednesday, December 5 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Dining Room at the Whitesburg Baptist Center. Sign up in High School LIFE Group Classes at 8:00 or 9:30 am Sunday mornings, or in the Student Ministry Office.

Blessing Baskets

Blessing Baskets are back! Could you make 2 - 3 dozen cookies for Jesus? Help assemble or deliver trays? On Christmas Eve we will deliver blessing baskets to area nursing homes, hospitals, fire stations and police stations to share the love of Christ and to thank them for their service to others during the holiday season. Sign up in your LIFE Group. If you have any questions, please contact David Dye at 256-704-5678, ext. 205. November 11, 18 & 25 - Pick up your zip lock bag in the North or South Lobby or in your LIFE Group. December 2, 9, & 16 - Return filled bags to stations in either lobby. Please keep each different kind of cookie in a separate bag and let cookies cool completely before bagging. December 22 - Assemble baskets in Student Center Gym at 10:00 am. December 24 - Deliver baskets after the Vesper Service.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY Moms in Prayer

Every Monday morning during the school year a small group of moms pray scripture over their children and their school(s). You don’t have to be a prayer warrior to be involved - but a mom who has a prayerful heart. GLOBAL MISSIONS Thanksgiving Mission

Downtown Rescue Mission, Huntsville Wednesday November 21 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Meet at the Rescue Mission at 1400 Evangel Dr. at 11:00 am to serve Thanksgiving meal to friends and residents of the Downtown Rescue Mission. Call Beverly at 256-704-5678, ext. 211 to sign up.

Appalachia Regional Mission

New and gently used coats for children and youth being received for the Appalachian Regional Mission December 7-8. Bring coats by the Global Mission Office, or drop off in Global Mission Center, now through December 3.

Just two Fridays left for scrapbooking or creating a masterpiece project. Bring your own supplies and ideas, and catch up on existing projects or prepare for the holidays. We’ll meet 8am-2pm on Fridays, November 30 and December 14 at the Whitesburg Baptist Center, upstairs in Room 607. For questions contact Allison Nuckolls at 256-361-9558.

Upward Sports

Basketball & Cheerleading

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is for boys and girls grades 1-6. The cost is $75. After December 2, the cost will be $90. Registration forms are available at the Whitesburg Baptist Center ROC Welcome Desk or you may register online at whitesburgbaptist.org/upward. Please attend an evaluation at the ROC on one of these two days: Thursday, November 29 between 5:30 - 7:30 pm, or Saturday, December 1 between 9:00 - 11:00 am. Practices begin the week of Monday, January 7, 2013 and games begin on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Senior Day at the ROC

Senior Day at the ROC will be on Monday, December 10, in the Fellowship Dining Room at the Whitesburg Baptist Center. Rick Stone, WBC’s new Worship Pastor, will be the speaker. Bring $5 and enjoy loaded potato soup and a turkey sandwich while you fellowship around the lunch table. Make your reservation by Friday, December 7 by calling 256-704-5678, ext. 713. The ROC will close at noon on Wednesday, November 21, and re-open at 6 am on Monday, November 26.

All preschool families, including older siblings, are invited. Friends are welcome, too! Families will enjoy their breakfast while Bethlehem characters visit the tables and hand out special gifts to the children. These gifts will help them to better understand the Christmas story. Everything is free!

No Wednesday evening activities November 21. The church offices will close at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 21 and reopen on Monday, November 26.
