You said, we’re doing! Every year at Who Cares? Scotland, we ask our members to tell us what they think we do well and what we could do better. We call this the Membership Survey. This year, members have asked for help to come to our groups and more things for younger members. Here’s what we’ve been working on to give members what they’ve asked for!
Help to come to our groups We’re creating a brand-new buddying system! If you know anyone from Who Cares? Scotland, a staff member, volunteer or another young person, they can come with you to introduce you and make you feel welcome. If you’re new to Who Cares? Scotland, we’d be happy to let you meet a staff member or volunteer, so you can get to know them first, and then you can try a group together.
Including younger members We want our younger members to feel included, that is why we have created this SpeakOut Junior magazine just for you. We want you to love each issue, so make sure you tell us what you like and don’t like about it, we’ll be listening. We want our younger members to have a say in everything we do, so to make sure you get the chance, we are working on new ways for you to do just that, we know not everyone likes having to write to us and answer loads of questions. 8
What our Chief Executive (the big boss at Who Cares? Scotland) Louise says:
“Making sure our members feel part of Who Cares? Scotland is very important to me. I want to make sure that all our members feel seen and heard and that every Care Experienced person in Scotland has the opportunity to be part of WC?S. I can’t wait to start meeting you all.”
