We invite you to enjoy our Mansion Bar and the easy-going elegance that defines The Greystone experience. Our bar menu featuring small plates of bar favorites like chicken wings and butcher boards. Enjoy a glass of wine from our extensive wine list, a hand-crafted cocktail or an ice-cold beer. PICNICS & ACTIVITY BAGS

Allow us to pack a picnic for you to enjoy! Select a basket or backpack and let us fill it with one of our picnics or activity bags designed uniquely for you. Our picnics are packed in re-usable picnic baskets/bags or backpacks, we ask for a $75 deposit for the use of these and hope for their safe return. Please specify if you would like your picnic to be fully disposable.

SPA

Your relaxation and rejuvenation are the goals of our Spa. Upon entering our water’s edge spa, guests are given robes and welcomed to enjoy an alfresco spa lunch or simply relax as they await their therapy. Facials, massages and herbal body treatments are among the services offered in our spa. Open daily from 10am – 6pm

Our health and beauty products used in our Spa and recommended for your daily home care regimen, are available through our Spa Retail located in our Waters Edge Spa. We are pleased to represent the following brands in our Spa: Dermalogica skin therapies and DreamTime Armotherapy products. Open daily from 10am – 6pm

MISS LUCY CRUISE

For wooden boat enthusiasts, The Miss Lucy is a big attraction. This 26-passenger handcrafted mahogany boat made by the hundred-year-old legendary Hacker-Craft Company, escorts guests on a nightly sunset cruise. The quiet leisurely pace of the Miss Lucy is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a tour of the expansive lake and lavish lakeside homes. 12pm and 5pm daily May–October (weather permitting). Please RSVP 24 hours in advance to confirm your reservation. Don’t forget to grab a cocktail and meet at the boat dock 15 minutes prior to departure time. Hotel guest enjoy one complimentary cruise per visit. Restaurant guests $25 per cruise (limited availability, reservations must be made in advance). Private, one hour Miss Lucy cruises are available for $350.

CANOE, KAYAKS & PADDLEBOARDS

A cup of coffee and an early morning kayak or paddleboard around the lake is sure to get your day started off on the right foot. Reservations can be made through Guest Services. Our Canoe is $20 per hour, Paddle boards $20 per hour, Kayaks $16 per hour, Pedal boat $20 per hour, and Adirondack guide boat is $20 per hour. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Should you wish to rent a pontoon, ski or fishing boat, they are available at the Marina. We recommend everyone wear a life preserver.

FISHING

There are 9 species of fish in the 640-acre Lake Toxaway; rainbow and brown trout, large and small mouth bass, rock bass, walleye, catfish, and blue gill, all game fish. With such limited access to the lake, those who enjoy fishing will experience quite the catch. Fishing boats and guides are available to guests through the Marina. A North Carolina Fishing license can be purchased by phone. Anyone caught fishing without a license is subject to a fine by the NC Wildlife Commission. We invite guests to see Guests Services for assistance.

HIKING

The majestic mountains and valleys overlooking and surrounding the Greystone Inn feature thousands of miles of trails ready and waiting to be explored. From a casual hike to demanding trails, self-guided and guided trips are available. Year round, hikers of every level will enjoy the endless opportunities to explore.

POOL TOWELS

It is our pleasure to provide two pool towels for each guest room, for your use while our guest. Should you require additional towels, please call Guest Services. We appreciate your taking care of the towels and returning them to your room each night and prior to checking-out. Should you wish to take pool towels home as a memento of your stay, a charge of $10 per towel will be added to your account.

HOT WATER BOTTLE TURNDOWN

Wishing you a peaceful sleep and pleasant dreams. The Greystone believes that warm sheets and a cloud-soft bed are the beginnings of a restful sleep. Please dial 0 if you would like a cashmere hot water bottle added to your bed at turndown.

SHOE & BOOT CLEANING

Complimentary shoe & boot cleaning is available daily. Please call Guest Services to let them know you’d like your shoes cleaned after a day out on the trails Then, put your shoes in the shoe bag found in your closet and place the bag outside your door before midnight. Your shoes will be returned, ready by 7am the next morning.

DRY CLEANING & LAUNDRY

Same day laundry and dry-cleaning service is available Monday through Friday. Laundry bags are hanging in your closet and must be at the Front Desk by 7:00a.m. to ensure they will be back the same day by 6:00p.m. A service fee of $30 for same day and $20 for next day dry cleaning will be added to your bill.

CHARGING STATION

A station to charge all your electronic devices is available at the front desk.

STAVE PUZZLES

For your enjoyment, we have Stave puzzles located throughout the Mansion. Stave puzzles are one of a kind wood jigsaw puzzles, hand cut one piece at a time, by a skilled crafter.

ART KITS

Grab one of our plein air art boxes from Guest Services and find a cozy spot to sketch. Art boxes have built in easels and are equipped with a sketch pad and pencils.
