“One minute it’s all air and light, and the next minute it’s a fortress, shut tight against the outside world,” says architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen, referring to his design for this versatile home. Living spaces are divided among three tall pavilions laid out with Palladian symmetry. A gallery-like entry hall paved with travertine and punctuated by curving bleached oak stairways at each end connects these spaces. Most rooms have windows on three sides, so breezes can circulate, while triple-hung Bermuda shutters filter the light. A central great room boasts dramatic 38-foot-tall ceilings and tall pocketing doors that extend the room to the outdoor living spaces and pool terraces. Ideal for entertaining, the newly renovated chef’s kitchen with Artcraft cabinetry and premium-grade appliances is in the center of the west wing adjacent to the formal dining room, breakfast room and laundry room. Outside, a sweeping lawn sets the stage for phenomenal views across a lake to the golf course and village beyond. The east wing includes a master suite with golf course views, complete with generous storage, an office nook and his-and-hers baths and dressing rooms. A library and three bedroom suites in the east wing and four bedroom suites in the west wing offer generous guest accommodations. With a thoughtful plan and attention to detail, this rare home design is an architectural masterpiece in a breathtaking setting. Offered for $9,950,000.

The Golf Estates at South Village
The plans, which are pre-priced for ease of planning, are already suited to several homesites in the South Village.
Only minutes from Windsor’s lively Village Centre is a neighborhood that offers a golf-focused lifestyle in a private and peaceful setting with the feel of a country property.
Choosing a pre-approved plan can cut home construction time by nearly half. The chosen design will be built by one of Windsor’s carefully selected custom homebuilders, each of whom has demonstrated an ability to meet the exacting standards set by Windsor’s town planners.
The meandering streets and towering live oaks give the South Village a serene, almost hidden quality. The homesites here stretch along the 4th through the 7th fairways of Windsor’s award-winning golf course, offering sweeping views of greens, native vegetation and sparkling lakes.
In keeping with Windsor’s architectural guidelines, each of the floor plans is paired with a unique exterior elevation, allowing for the varied streetscapes visually present throughout the community.
Homesite sales in the South Village are experiencing an incline as buyers increasingly take notice of the beauty of this quiet neighborhood at the southern edge of Windsor.
Homesite pricing for the Golf Estates begins at $525,000; home plans begin at $1,848,966. Visit windsorflorida.com/golf-course-homes for more details.
Property owners may choose one of Windsor’s preferred builders to build a custom home. However, another convenient option is to select a home plan from a collection of limited-edition designs by award-winning architects.
The Village Store: Stocked for the Season The Village Store’s staff is always on hand to answer questions and offer suggestions, and regularly plans food demonstrations on subjects such as homemade pasta and food and wine pairings. To keep up with the demand for fresh baked goods this season, an additional pastry chef has been added to the culinary team.
At Windsor, the Village Store is the hub of the community. This centrally located shop in the Village Centre has been restocked to include everything Members and guests may need, from local produce to a new line of cheese tools and serveware from Holland. It is here that farm-fresh, seasonal ingredients find their way into sandwiches, salads and other signature items on the menu, which is rotating and everevolving. Guests can start the day with an espresso or nutrition-packed smoothie at the counter. Or pull up a chair outside for alfresco dining on the picturesque Village Green. Many favorite products such as artisan breads from Ace Bakery and Charbonnel & Walker chocolates are still on store shelves. But this season the Village Store has added several specialty items such as locally-baked gluten-free breads. Plus, sushi has been added to the popular “grab-andgo” ready-made meal section. The store now carries a new line of all natural sun care products and beachrelated goods from a local company, a designer selection of eco-friendly kitchen and dining merchandise, and necessary items for pet owners such as treats and even a Windsor logo dog collar. For that afternoon pick-me-up, Members and guests can stop by the store for discounted coffee and ice cream during “Happy Hour.”
