WELCOME I hope you had an enjoyable holiday and the New Year is off to a good start. I am pleased to say Windsor experienced an excellent 2015. Many upgrades were made to the property including a complete renovation of our Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf course and an expansion to our Beach Club allowing for more outdoor dining. On the real estate front, our home and homesite sales were particularly brisk last year and we welcomed many new Members to the community. The season got off to a splendid start with a wine tasting and dinner that showcased wines produced by renowned Italian winemakers Marchesi Antinori. Hosted by Allegra Antinori, this lively event featured beloved Antinori family recipes, expertly paired with wines from the family’s estates in Tuscany and Umbria. See page 7 for a recap of this truly memorable evening. Our latest exhibition in The Gallery at Windsor, Per Kirkeby: Echo of the Light, was unveiled at a special weekend celebration on the heels of Art Basel Miami. I invite visitors to view this beautiful collection of abstract works by the famed Danish artist while it is on display through the end of April. Turn to page 6 for details on scheduling a docent-guided tour. We are eagerly anticipating the pounding of hooves and clinking of champagne glasses as our biennial Windsor Charity Polo Cup draws closer. Co-chaired by the Hon. Hilary M. Weston and Salvatore Ferragamo, this premier charity sporting event promises to be an exhilarating day for the entire family and an opportunity for the community to come out in support of local and national Alzheimer’s charities. See page 3 for details on what we have planned for the day. The lifestyle at Windsor is truly extraordinary and the real estate values currently available are exceptional. If you are interested in learning more about the vibrant lifestyle at Windsor and real estate opportunities available, please contact me at 772 388 8400 or 800 233 7656, or email at betsy.hanley@ windsorflorida.com.

The nearly 7,000-square-foot home has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects with an Honor Award of Excellence and a Top Buildings in Florida Award. It has been featured in several design publications including most recently in Florida Design magazine, where the owner describes the home, which is set on a double lot, as looking like a small village but feeling like a compound. Clem Schaub of Vero Beach firm Clemens Bruns Schaub served not only as the architect on the project but also as interior designer and landscaper.

Per Kirkeby: Echo of the Light showcases a selection of paintings and monotypes from the past 25 years. It was the first time the collection, which begins with work from the late 1980s and ends with his latest monotypes, was shown in the U.S. The paintings on view are composed of a delicate balance of vibrant hues and carefully cast shadows engaging in a complex play of scale and spatial depth. They broaden seemingly figurative, natural forms into something expansively atmospheric, like abstract memories of landscape motifs. The monotypes, including a body of work made last year, are a rarely-exhibited medium of the artist’s oeuvre. Each monotype is a unique print: technically executed in a way similar to his paintings, they allow Kirkeby a freedom and spontaneity in their production.

BLOCK 65 / LOT 7
OFFER ED FOR $3 , 400,000 This spectacular oceanfront homesite offers wide and sweeping views across a natural dune to the Atlantic ocean. From the village of Windsor, a private tunnel leads to Windsor’s Beach Club and private oceanfront neighborhood. Lush native landscaping along Eton Way creates additional privacy from the street and adds to the neighborhood’s rural “Old Florida” feel. Building placement standards for homes on the ocean are attentive to protecting Windsor’s native dune vegetation and marine life, while still allowing for the most spectacular ocean views and private beach access from each home. Oceanfront homesites conform to the patterns already established on the ocean side of Windsor where homes are low in scale and understated in style, yet reflect the hallmarks of some of the world’s most renowned architects.
WINDSOR HOSTS
MARCHESI ANTINORI The 2011 Antinori Matarocchio is a wine of rare concentration and refinement, with intense and complex aromas, highlighted by notes of chocolate, black currents and blackberries.
“The setting, the crowd, the food, the place, the climate (were) so special,” she says. “It was worth every moment of my long trip. … It has been a pleasure and an honor to taste the wines together.”
This Italian wine, produced by the Antinori family at their 2,500-acre Guado al Tasso estate southwest of Florence, was one of several exquisite wines served at the November wine tasting and dinner at Windsor.
The Antinori family stretches back 26 generations, from their vineyards in Italy to a California estate, Antica Napa Valley, to joint ventures in Washington State with Col Solare and in California with Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.
The evening began on the Beach Club loggia with a seated tasting class, hosted by Allegra Antinori, and then migrated to the porch upstairs for mouthwatering canapes such as tuna skewers and beef tartare with white truffle, accompanied by Franciacorta sparkling wine. Afterward, Antinori hosted an intimate dinner featuring family recipes, expertly paired with wines from the family’s estates in Tuscany and Umbria, including their most iconic wines – Tignanello and Solaia. Prepared by guest Chef Nicola Carro, the meal began with a salad of prawns over cannellini beans with rosemary, and then came a plate of baby spinach and ricotta dumplings with tomato sauce, basil and parmigiano reggiano. Also on the menu was beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes, alba truffle and baby carrots. Diners then enjoyed a selection of Italian cheeses served with black figs and toasted walnuts. And for the finale? Foie gras with caramelized peaches and almond focaccia. Interest in the event exceeded expectations and even required a waiting list. Antinori was equally excited about her evening at Windsor.
