WELCOME It has certainly been an eventful summer. I am pleased to report that Windsor fared quite well during the recent hurricane. Our hearts go out to those in the hurricane-affected areas who are still grappling with the aftermath. This was also an extremely busy summer with multiple construction projects underway. Our Windsor Park Residences are almost complete and the first units will be ready for move in soon. Our guest accommodations underwent a complete renovation under the creative eye of leading designer Alessandra Branca. I look forward to sharing images of the remarkable transformation in our next issue. Just in time for the polo season and the February Windsor Charity Polo Cup, Windsor has enhanced its Equestrian facility to include a multi-purpose stick and ball field. This new equestrian amenity is ideal for introducing beginners and children to the sport, as well as three-on-three games and stick and ball for more experienced players. Look on page 3 for more details. We also checked in with Windsor’s Director

WINDSOR EXPANDS EQUESTRIAN PROGRAM “This is an exciting opportunity for Windsor because it truly expands our capabilities, allowing Members to practice their polo and a variety of other equestrian disciplines on a beautifully manicured field right in front of the stables,” says Max Secunda, Windsor’s Director of Equestrian Operations. “In addition, we have used the opportunity to update our arena surface.” Polo is a sport that is growing in popularity each season at Windsor. Creating this dedicated space will allow Members to play polo regularly. The field also provides a large available space for other activities such as exhibitions, soccer or parties such as the crowd-pleasing Argentine Asado Grill. “Not only does the 170-yard-long field enhance the aesthetics of the Equestrian Centre, it has been carefully engineered to drain rapidly and allow practice even in Florida’s rainy season,” Secunda says. “The field has been sodded with Windsor’s impressive Equestrian Centre has long

“The Windsor Members have generously supported us over 10 years and truly make a difference in many children’s lives,” Tom Fish says. We caught up with Tom Fish recently to ask him about his flourishing tennis program at Windsor: Question: What makes Windsor’s tennis program so unique and exciting? Answer: We have high-quality players and beginning players and our program has a lot of depth. Usually a development will build a really nice golf course and then put less thought into building its tennis courts. The Westons, who founded Windsor, put a lot of thought into the design of the courts from the beginning. We have eight Har-Tru courts designed

The courts are really busy. We don’t have reserved times. You just show up. It’s the most efficient way because you don’t have any dead time. The courts are very well maintained, of course, but part of what makes our program special is our staff. We have a fantastic team at Windsor. Most of them have been with Windsor for many years. We are a close family and everyone chips in to do anything to help. We all sweep the courts, clean up and work hard. Our staff includes Tammy, who organizes and buys for the shop.
