WINDSOR PARK RESIDENCES BEAUTIFUL FURNISHED MODEL AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING The highly anticipated Windsor Park Residences recently welcomed their first homeowners, marking another key milestone in the development of this tranquil seaside community. The Windsor Park Residences present an exciting opportunity designed for buyers who are seeking a turnkey, low-maintenance residential solution while still enjoying Windsor’s distinct architectural aesthetic and all the benefits of membership. Situated along the western edge of the community, the Windsor Park Residences are comprised of twelve one-level homes within five connected, three-story buildings that boast stunning views of protected wetlands and the Indian River Lagoon, yet are still only a quick golfcart ride to the Village Centre. The well-conceived project was designed by Merrill, Pastor & Colgan Architects and constructed by Huryn Construction. The six floor plans range from three to five bedrooms, with spacious living areas, 10-foot ceilings, and voluminous windows to take advantage of the views. Each home was designed with multiple balconies and porches to allow for indoor/outdoor living in Florida’s agreeable environment. Enchanting central gardens not only connect the residences but also serve as a formal entrance and as an extension to the park directly across the street. The focal point of the beautiful central gardens is a shimmering private reflecting pool courtyard. A furnished model is now available for viewing. The 2,738-square foot residence is located on the second level and features superior interior details and premium appliances. With interior design by Susan Schuyler Smith, ASID of Spectrum Interior Design, the model is furnished in a transitional style in neutral tones with hints of blue, green and coral. “We wanted to make the most of the natural light and tree canopy views to create a clean, fresh and sophisticated interior,” says Schuyler Smith. Remaining residences start at under $2 million. For more information about Windsor and the Windsor Park Residences, please visit windsorflorida.com. WINDSOR'S SUMMER ART TRIP AN ART ADVENTURE IN LONDON Windsor Members and guests recently spent two days in London on an art adventure orchestrated by Nicola Togneri, Exhibition Coordinator for Windsor’s collaboration with London’s Royal Academy. The group visited curated artist studios and museums. A highlight of the trip was the VIP Preview Party celebrating the Royal Academy’s 250th anniversary and the opening of its famed Summer Exhibition. The Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest and longest running open submission show and this year was coordinated by Royal Academician Grayson Perry, who was the 2018 exhibition artist at The Gallery at Windsor. Perry, along with his committee, selected 1,100 works of art from more than 10,000 submitted as part of what Perry describes as a celebration of “art made now.” The 250th anniversary marked the unveiling of the Royal Academy’s dramatic campus expansion that now unites Burlington House on Piccadilly with Burlington Gardens in Mayfair. Funded solely by patrons and private donations, the expansion showcases the heart of the RA, its renowned art and architecture school. The first day of the Windsor trip began with a fascinating tour of the new RA Collections Gallery led by RA President Christopher Le Brun. Le Brun, who curated this outstanding artistic history in the Collections Gallery also exhibited his large abstract paintings at Windsor in 2017. Both emerging and collected work by international artists were privately viewed at Dorich House Museum, the Parasol Unit, Newport Street Gallery and the Garden Museum. Guests also enjoyed sumptuous dining at Fortnum & Mason’s 45 Jermyn Street, Damien Hirst’s Pharmacy 2 and Sketch, a gallery restaurant featuring a colorful collection of works by artist David Shrigley. In their free time, the group toured the Victoria & Albert Museum and The National Portrait Gallery, and took a walk in Hyde Park to

view the final barrels being added to Christo’s The London Mastaba, a 20-metre-high sculpture floating on Serpentine Lake. Also fun was an evening of nonstop laughs at the Duchess Theatre viewing The Play that Goes Wrong. “I loved everything about this trip, but the RA Spring Party was tops,” said Windsor Member Stacey Lewis. “We danced to an English pop band, ate delicious food, drank endless champagne and viewed over 1,000 works of art by Royal Academicians and professional artists the likes of David Hockney, Jim Dine, El Anatsui, Kiki Smith, Anish Kapoor, Grayson Perry and Banksy. There was also art submitted by unknown artists. Happily, it was all for sale. I ended up buying two small pieces that I adore. We were all there to celebrate art and support the RA among the loads of paparazzi and celebrities. Thank you to The Gallery at Windsor for making it all possible and I look forward to next year’s trip. It was an evening I will always remember.” In its 16th year, The Gallery at Windsor continues to present renowned artists from the international contemporary art world under the creative direction of The Hon. Hilary M. Weston, Windsor’s Co-founder. The upcoming year, 2019, marks the second year in a three-year curatorial partnership with the RA. An announcement of The Gallery’s 2019 artist will be made in the fall. The RA Summer Exhibition is on display through August 19, 2018. For more information, visit royalacademy.com.uk.

SUPPORTS LOCAL SUMMER ART CAMP A generous gift from the Windsor Charitable Foundation will allow young artists to explore ideas, develop skills and build self-esteem at the Vero Beach Museum’s 2018 Summer Art Camp. The Gallery at Windsor is providing the gift, thanks to donations made by Windsor Members and the visiting public. “The gift will support 20 local youth scholarships making it possible for them to participate in the Museum’s Summer Art Camp,” said Sara Klein, Vero Beach Museum of Art Director of Education. The camp is designed to encourage creativity through experiencing, making and learning about all aspects of art. This summer the museum is drawing inspiration from the exhibition Astronomy Photographer of the Year and will offer 45 classes in eight one-week sessions. “We are pleased to bring more happy campers to the Museum this summer,” said Laura Kelley, Art Gallery Manager at Windsor. “It is a perfect fit with The Gallery’s philanthropic priority to support arts education in our local community.”

FEATURED IN VERANDA THE NEWLY REDESIGNED WINDSOR SUITES Overlooking the gardens of the Village Centre, the Windsor Suites serve as a centerpiece for the breathtaking community of Windsor. Already designed to be stylish and comfortable, these guest accommodations feel as if they have experienced a dramatic rebirth after Windsor Cofounder The Hon. Hilary M. Weston partnered with renowned designer Alessandra Branca to reimagine each one anew. Veranda magazine showcased the collection of Windsor Suites in its May/June 2018 issue with an 11-page feature that captures the charm of these welcoming spaces through beautiful photography by leading interiors photographer Thomas Loof and vivid descriptions penned by Senior Editor Mario López-Cordero. Veranda recognized Branca’s classic yet freethinking style and noted that each of the seven Suites boasts a distinct design aesthetic, while retaining the original spirit of Windsor. Photographs show the brilliance of Branca’s plan to furnish each Suite with a mix of periods, styles, origins and palettes all suited to Windsor’s unique Florida vernacular. The Doncaster Suite, for example, is paneled in whitewashed beadboard, with soaring ceilings and a contemporary, global vibe. A beaded African helmet sits on the mantel and mud cloth–covered throw pillows adorn the furnishings, which include a number of wicker pieces. Branca told Veranda magazine that this room, with its neutral palette, was beachy and loose. Every Suite, she said, was different. While showing off the luxurious new Suites, the Veranda feature also gave readers a glimpse into what life is like at Windsor with its New Urbanist attitude, its sporting lifestyle and its focus on the arts. Veranda is a home design and lifestyle publication that seeks to inspire its readers by writing about places that are special, beautiful and elegant. Visit windsorflorida.com/news or veranda.com for the entire online feature.

WINDSOR SUITES OPEN HOUSE The newly redesigned Windsor Suites were too beautiful to be kept secret. So Windsor threw open its doors in mid-April to allow members of the local community a peek inside this collection of individually furnished guest accommodations that were recently reimagined by designer Alessandra Branca. The tour, which was orchestrated by Pat Palmer, Secretary of the Windsor Charitable Foundation, along with Windsor’s Member Services and Marketing departments, showcased the seven Suites and Concierge offices. Tour guests also met the designer and enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Beach Club where Branca was signing her latest book, New Classic Interiors. “It was an honor to walk attendees through the Suites and personally present my vision for the reimagined spaces,” said Alessandra Branca. “I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with Windsor on this project and enhance the Suites experience for a new generation of Windsor guests.” April Minton, who was among the 74 attendees, said the Windsor event was perfection at every point. “Thank you for a fabulous time,” she said. “My daughter and I enjoyed every moment.” A portion of the event’s registration fee went to support the Windsor Charitable Foundation, which raises funds from within the Windsor community and through fundraising events for the purpose of making grants to fund programs offered by local and national non-profit agencies. The Foundation’s goal is to change people’s lives and improve the community.
