WELCOME I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season. At Windsor, we planned many special events including the re-opening of our treasured golf course. With our recent property upgrades and our lively calendar of events, this should prove to be a stellar season. Our Members returned this season to find a stylishly updated Clubhouse. With upgrades to the kitchen, dining room and outdoor seating areas, you will see the Clubhouse has become more efficient, comfortable and even more beautiful. To read more about this, check page 4. Along with the welcome return of our Members, we were overjoyed to see the reappearance of Windsor’s many four-legged friends. Members enjoy a dog-friendly culture here where dogs can join their owners at the designated Dog Park, the golf course and the Village Store. Find out more on page 10. Now we are eagerly awaiting two special upcoming events. Rose Wylie: Let it Settle opens January 28 at The Gallery at Windsor. This will be the third annual exhibition at Windsor presented in collaboration with London’s Royal Academy of Arts, as part of a three-year curatorial partnership launched in 2018. Also exciting is that this will be the first exhibition in the program by a female artist. Please see page 7 for more information.

WINDSOR ANNOUNCES MAJOR COMMUNITY EXPANSION PROJECTS NORTH VILLAGE, FITNESS & WELLNESS CENTRE, AND CABANA BAR IN PROGRESS Blending seamlessly into Windsor’s existing Village, a new neighborhood is being planned for 47 acres in the northwest portion of the Windsor property. The North Village neighborhood will have 34 to 36 homesites, most with lake views, and will feature 12 acres of open park space as well as another 12-plus acres of lakes and water features. The new development will offer convenient canoe and kayak access to the Indian River Lagoon. Windsor’s development team is working with the community's original planner, Andrés Duany of Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company, a leader in the practice of planning and urban design for more than 30 years. The team will design the North Village in keeping with Windsor's New Urbanism plan. County approvals are expected by the fall 2020 with sitework commencing immediately thereafter. The North Village neighborhood is just part of a major expansion Windsor discussed at its Annual Meeting earlier last year. Plans for a new Fitness & Wellness Centre are also moving forward, with construction starting in June 2020. Remaining in its current location in the heart of the Village, the new facility will represent a greatly expanded and enhanced amenity with approximately 12,000 square feet of exercise and wellness space. The space will be fully equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and include rooms for a dynamic range of fitness and wellness classes as well as spa treatments. Outdoor recreational activities such as the increasingly popular game of Pickleball will be incorporated into the plan. In response to the growing Club trend and a Membership desire for more casual dining options, a Cabana Bar is being added to Windsor’s Beach Club. The existing cabana building on the east side of the pool will be transformed into a new two-story structure featuring two roofed, yet openair casual seating areas flanking a central open bar, all with views of the ocean and pool area. Construction will commence in May 2020 with architect, Clemens Bruns Schaub, and builder, Huryn Construction. Recently completed was a major restoration of Windsor’s 18-hole links-style golf course. Originally designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the course was revisited by Jones and his team to create an even more exciting playing experience for Members. The course reopened in early November 2019 to be ready for the start of Windsor's new season. The interior of the Clubhouse restaurant also was freshened up during the summer with floor resurfacing, new furnishings and a redesigned outdoor patio space. With several projects completed and others set to commence in 2020, Windsor will see an evolution of its community experience for current and future Members as it enters its milestone 30th anniversary season. “It certainly is an exciting time at Windsor,” said Betsy Hanley, President of Windsor. “The numerous Club and community enhancements in progress represent a significant investment on the part of the developer. We feel very fortunate to have the continued guidance and careful oversight of our founders, Hilary and Galen Weston.”

In the dining room, the existing sleek furniture received new upholstery and then additional pieces were added. The wine display was upgraded with a fully functional cellar to store the Club’s wines at optimal temperatures. Walls received a fresh coat of paint and a beautiful new American walnut wood floor was installed. Overlooking the first tee with magnificent views across Windsor’s Serengeti-esque golf course, the Clubhouse patio sets a welcoming scene with its large roaring firepits and comfortable new seating. Beloved by the Windsor Membership and admired by its many visitors, the Town Hall is a unique and cherished amenity of this seaside village.

Located overlooking the Equestrian Centre and just steps from the Village Centre, the Town Hall is most certainly the spiritual heart of the Windsor community. Its airy and voluminous interior, which enjoys beautiful natural light, works exceptionally well for a wide range of purposes. Throughout the year it has been the site of numerous Member-hosted weddings, musical concerts, performing arts events, and talks by cultural leaders. The building is widely revered in architectural circles. Each season, enthusiastic architectural students tour the Windsor community and seek out the Town Hall to participate in in-depth discussions on the building’s neoclassical design. Most recently, students of the University of Miami chapter of Students of Classical Architecture visited Windsor guided by architects who have worked on various projects at Windsor, including Chris Baker and Peter Moor of Moor, Baker & Associates Architects and Scott Merrill of Merrill, Pastor and Colgan Architects.

THE DOGS OF WINDSOR A DOG FRIENDLY COMMUNITY Each season many Members return to Windsor with their four-legged friends in tow. It is always a delight to see hounds of every breed, small and large, getting reacquainted after the summer break. Helping to provide a welcoming environment and proper care for Members' beloved companions has always been a part of Windsor's mission. The Dog Park, Windsor’s designated off-leash area, is a convenient community amenity. It's a place where dogs can run freely and safely while their owners socialize. Windsor’s dog-friendly culture extends beyond the Dog Park. After a workout at Yappy Hour – a daily meet-up at 4 p.m. in the Dog Park – Members often take their furry companions along for a visit to the Village Store. Golfers also sometimes take their pups to Windsor's course to join in the fun of some friendly competition. Dogs, on leash, are welcome here. With no tee times, a challenging course and a dog-friendly policy, the course at Windsor aims to offer the ultimate golfing experience to Members.
