WELCOME Spring is in the air and we are enjoying the balmy Florida weather and an array of social and sporting activities at Windsor.
Data continues to show that Windsor properties are holding a strong position in the market, and opportunities to buy or build in Florida remain very favorable. Due to the recent increase in sales activity, our inventory of available homes is at an all-time low. In this issue you will find just a sampling of available homes and homesites. Please visit our website at windsorflorida.com to view all our current listings.
Our second biennial Windsor Charity Polo Cup was a resounding success. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny February day with hours of fun for the entire family. We thank our sponsors, world-class polo players, hardworking committee and all who came out to support the event.
If you are interested in learning more about Windsor, please contact me at 772 388 8400 or 800 233 7656, or email at betsy.hanley@ windsorflorida.com. I welcome the opportunity to tell you more about the lifestyle at Windsor and the various real estate opportunities available.
We are saddened by the news that polo legend Carlos Gracida lost his life following a serious polo accident while playing in Wellington. We feel fortunate at Windsor to have spent time with Carlos recently. He was a great man, adored by his family, friends and fans. The Weston family, Windsor Members and staff extend deepest condolences to the entire Gracida family at this time.
Best wishes,

Extraordinary works by one of the leading artists of our time remain on view at The Gallery at Windsor through April 30. The Windsor exhibition is a rare opportunity to view the legendary artist’s more recent works on paper.
The Gallery at Windsor opened the exclusive exhibition in December to coincide with Art Basel Miami Beach. The show has been closely conceived with ULAE print studio, with whom Jasper Johns has worked since the 1960s. Johns is one of the most important printmakers of the 20th and 21st centuries, says Whitechapel Gallery Director Iwona Blazwick, who curated the show. The collection on display at Windsor
The Jasper Johns exhibition wraps up a threeyear curatorial collaboration between Windsor’s gallery and London’s Whitechapel Gallery to showcase artists at different stages in their careers. Previously, the Whitechapel Gallery at Windsor displayed works by Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes and Romanian duo Gert and Uwe Tobias. The Gallery is open by appointment and is free of charge. Windsor Launches Mini Documentary Film Series A new documentary film series made its debut at Windsor in January with standing-roomonly attendance – and even a wait list for the last film. The goal for the “Windsor Docs” inaugural season was to showcase a slate of awardwinning documentary films that tell compelling narratives. The theme for the month-long series was “extraordinary people doing extraordinary things.” The film series, which included four inspirational and powerful documentaries, was a chance for Windsor Members and their guests to appreciate the art of filmmaking and to interact with filmmakers, editors, producers and others involved in the projects.
“AKA Doc Pomus” documents the life of legendary rock and roll icon Doc Pomus who triumphed over adversity to become one of the greatest songwriters in the history of American popular music. Also shown at Windsor – in an exclusive prescreening before its theatrical distribution – was “Particle Fever,” a film that follows scientists as they seek to unravel the mysteries of the universe with the launch of the Large Hadron Collider. The 2014 Windsor Docs committee included Windsor Members Barbara Ettinger, Sven
Among the films shown was the highly acclaimed “Buck,” which tells the story of Buck Brannaman, an American cowboy and “horse whisperer.” The film “ThunderSoul,” presented by actor Jamie Foxx, focuses on a beloved high school band leader and the struggling jazz band he transformed into a world-class funk powerhouse in the early 1970s.

Commemorative Poster Artist Derek Gores
A Perfect Windsor Day for Polo
Artist Derek Gores, who created the official commemorative poster for the 2014 Windsor Charity Polo Cup, was the subject of the cover feature in the February edition of Vero Beach Magazine. Read the entire 11-page feature at windsorflorida.com/news. The Florida artist is admired for creating “torn paper collage” works that encourage the viewer to do a double take, so as to catch not only the obvious image he is portraying but also the intricate treasures hidden within. Stand back and look at the Windsor poster and you’ll see the athleticism of this “sport of kings” depicted in a colorful scene of a polo player poised to strike the ball on the Windsor polo field. Look deeper and you’ll spot some of the marvelous details that make up Windsor: distinctive architecture, lush green spaces and glorious sporting amenities. The collage was constructed from photos, maps and various print materials from community archives. In addition to official artwork, the Windsor Polo Cup introduced a line of exclusive commemorative merchandise including an official cup, tote bag and a variety of hats. The poster and merchandise can still be purchased at store.windsorflorida.com.
Spectators at the second biennial Charity Polo Cup at Windsor cheered on their favorite players, and enjoyed a champagne luncheon, festive tailgating and a variety of other family friendly activities.
