Watch, Bid and Buy...it’s Telesale Time The winter we thought would never end is finally over and there is much reason to rejoice! But before you go running outside, save just a few more evenings to sit inside and watch TELESALE, presented by American and Baxter Pest Professionals. SPRING TELESALE airs April 3 and 4 from 7-10pm and April 5 from 7-11pm. You can bid online anytime through April 5 at www.telesale.com. Thanks to the generosity of local merchants and donors, all three televised nights will be packed full of merchandise for the home, recreation and services. The first hour each evening will have a theme: Thursday is sports hour, Friday is food and Saturday is just for kids.

Sundays in April at 8pm Based on the best-selling memoirs of the late Jennifer Worth, tells colorful stories of midwifery and families in London’s East End. The third season takes viewers to 1959, the eve of the Swinging Sixties. The winds of change are sweeping through the country and the residents of Nonnatus House face some momentous changes of their own.

Masterpiece “Mr. Selfridge” Season Two Sundays in April at 9pm Season two of this mini-series continues the dramatization of the real-life story of Harry Gordon Selfridge, the visionary American founder of the famous London department store that revolutionized the modern shopping. Upstart American Harry Selfridge moves heaven and earth to build his department store in London.

In Performances at the White House: Women of Soul

Monday, April 7 at 9pm A PBS music special in the East Room of the White House, hosted by President and Mrs. Obama. Performances by Tessanne Chin, Melissa Etheridge, Aretha Franklin, Ariana Grande, Patti LaBelle, Janelle Monáe and Jill Scott will pay homage to the great “foremothers” of music, with songs expressing the struggles and the achievements of women in American music.

Dave Clark Five Glad All Over: A Great Performance Special

Tuesday, April 8 at 8pm The Dave Clark Five were actually the first English group to tour America in May of 1964, and thus the spearheading the ensuing rock ‘n’ roll “British invasion” that changed the world. Lenape on the Wapahani River v

Sunday, April 13 at 12:30pm The Lenape on the Wapahani River explores the Delaware Native Americans during their time in Indiana in the early 19th century. Originally from New Jersey and Delaware, the Lenape moved westward as settlers moved into the eastern seaboard. By the end of the American Revolutionary War, the Lenape were living along Indiana’s White River.

Tuesday, April 15 at 9pm Ken Burns tells the story of a tiny school in Putney, Vermont, the Greenwood School, where each year the students are encouraged to memorize, practice and recite the Gettysburg Address.
