What’s new in 2013 Spring Telesale Spring Telesale is coming to your television screen April 4-6, 2013, from 7-10:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 7-11:30 p.m. on Saturday.

This Month’s Programs Worth Watching Call The Midwife Sundays at 8pm

Nonnatus House opens its doors to warmly welcome the audience back into 1950s East End London and continues to follow Poplar’s community of exceptional midwives and nursing nuns. Viewers can expect to see more births, babies and bicycling, plus blossoming romance from an unexpected quarter, in the new series.

Masterpiece Classic: Mr Selfridge Continuing Sundays at 9pm

Jeremy Piven (“Entourage”) stars as a wheeling-dealing American who shows early 1900s Londoners how to shop. Based on the life of colorful retail magnate Harry Gordon Selfridge, the new eight-part series is created by Emmy Award-winning writer Andrew Davies (“Pride and Prejudice”). Also starring are Frances O’Connor, Aisling Loftus, Zoe Tapper, Amanda Abbington and Samuel West.

The Bletchley Circle

Sundays at 10pm, starting April 21

Follow four ordinary women with the extraordinary ability to break codes, a skill honed during World War II when they worked undercover at Bletchley Park, site of the United Kingdom’s main decryption establishment. Now in 1952, Susan, Millie, Lucy and Jean have returned to civilian life, keeping their intelligence work secret from all, including family and friends.

Filmmaker David Sutherland profiles Robin Charboneau, a divorced mother and Oglala Sioux woman living on North Dakota’s Spirit Lake Reservation. Sutherland follows Charboneau over three years as she struggles to raise her children, further her education, heal the wounds of sexual abuse and battle alcoholism.

Central Park Five Tuesday, April 16 at 9pm

Late in the evening of April 19, 1989, Tricia Meili went jogging through Central Park in New York City. When she was found hours later, she had been brutally raped, beaten and left for dead. This film examines the notorious crime, the media response and the public outcry it triggered, and the miscarriage of justice that followed it, probing the larger issues it raises about our nation’s complicated past.

This WIPB show examines all aspects of being healthy and living a healthy lifestyle...mind, body and spirit. Each episode deals with a different health, wellness or medial topic and features local panelists who will share their advice and expertise as well as community members who will share their personal experiences.
