Thursday, February 13 & 20 at 9pm A This film chronicles the life and career of boxer Jack Johnson, the first African-American heavyweight champion and one of the greatest fighters of the 20th century. Johnson ultimately lost his title in a bout in Cuba in 1915, after fleeing the United States following his federal conviction for allegedly violating the Mann Act.

Great Performances “Sting: The Last Ship” Friday, February 21 at 9pm Rock ‘n’ roll Renaissance man Sting has embarked on a new venture, The Last Ship, a musical play for which he has written original music and lyrics. Exploring a range of universal themes, The Last Ship dramatizes the impact of the demise of the shipbuilding industry in Sting’s home town of Wallsend, England, which for so long had dominated and shaped the city’s community life. In an exclusive performance recorded at NYC’s Public Theater, Sting performs an intimate concert of highlights from the show, providing a narrative outline for the musical.
Out of the Shadows: Men’s Basketball v Friday, February 28 at 6pm Ball State Sports Link, an immersive learning production, premieres a new, behind-the-scenes series titled OUT OF THE SHADOWS: MEN’S BASKETBALL. Ball State head coach James Whitford has granted Sports Link exclusive access to the team in 2013-14 including on the bus, in the locker room and team meetings.
