WIPB Partners with MutualBank to Benefits Second Harvest Food Bank

W

IPB-TV and MutualBank are joining forces again this year to help feed the hungry in our community.

Contributions can be made in person, via phone (800-252-9472) or on the web at wipb.org.

From now until December 31, 2012, MutualBank will provide six meals to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana for every $15 donation WIPB receives.

Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana is the region’s largest hunger-relief charity. Their mission is to provide a coordinated approach to alleviating hunger in East Central Indiana.

Last year, MutualBank provided 2,292 meals because of your generous gifts to WIPB.

Each year, the Second Harvest Food Bank network provides food assistance to more than 80,600 low-income people facing hunger around the state, including 44,000 children and 5,000 seniors.

“WIPB is proud to help raise awareness of an important topic that affects thousands of our neighbors,” said Alice Van Dyke, WIPB general manager. “It’s our hope this effort will make an impact on a lot of lives.”

WIPB’s End of the Year Campaign goal is $60,000 this year.
