Please don’t forget about the Dress Code

We have been asked by the Board of Directors to embark on a 60-day Rules & Regulations reminder journey, predominately to include dress code, etiquette and behavior guidelines. We will be reminding members of these policies in person, via email and in our regular communications.

In this issue, we are focusing on tshirts. A parent recently shared a story with me last week about how special his children felt when coming to the Club. Membership in the Club was a big part of his children's upbringing. It was a big deal when the family came to the Club. Their son had four or five polo-type shirts and was excited to get to wear one whenever they came to the Club. He explained this is where his kids learned manners.

The biggest dress code violation we see are with respect to tshirts. This dress code applies to your guests AND children as well.

UNACCEPTABLE TSHIRTS: As a reminder, graphic tees are not allowed on the golf course, in the Clubhouse, or in the Founders Cafe (the only Club location graphic tees are allowed is the fitness center and the swimming pool). Graphic tees, like in the below picture, are tshirts that have large text and/or graphics on the chest. Concert tshirts, beer tshirts, etc fall into this category.

ACCEPTABLE TSHIRTS: While graphic tees are not acceptable, there are some tshirts that are. Tshirts in good condition, with no logo or a small (pocket sized) logo are acceptable — but still not on the golf course (Clubhouse yes; golf no). And example of an acceptable tshirt is shown below.

We are hopeful that, as members of the Club and parents, you agree that coming to the Club is a special privilege. Let's all aspire to set the right example to other members, guests and children, and to be an excellent club on all fronts.
