It is hard to believe we are planning Thanksgiving and Christmas events already! This season went by way too fast.

As we head out of season our Restaurant hours change.

Dinner Wednesday-Saturday 5:00-9:00

Sunday, November 3 was the last Sunday we were be open for Sunday Dinner Service.

Stay engaged with your fellow members during the Fall/Winter months by attending some of the new events and some traditional club events. Check the club website or App to check out the wide variety of events offered.

Bowling League sign-ups are now being accepted. For more information, see the flyer in this newsletter.

Bridge at WCC? We have a unique opportunity to have Bridge lessons at the club. We are testing the waters to determine interest in Bridge. If you are interested, please contact me to let me know.

Did you know... sand bottles for divots are available on the front porch of the golf shop, under the tee/scorecard box. When walking the course, you can fill in divots.

COUPLES BOWLING

MATCHES TO START ON NOVEMBER 5, 2024 THROUGH APRIL 2025

TEAMS: FOUR (4) COUPLES PER TEAM

– ONE (1) COUPLE PLAYS EACH WEEK WEEKS RUN FROM WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY WITH FOUR COUPLES ON A TEAM, YOU MAY ONLY PLAY ONE MATCH A MONTH OR MORE DEPENDING ON YOUR TEAM.

Where: WCC Bowling Lanes

When: Matches to start on November 5, 2024 through April 2025

Teams: Four (4) Couples per team – One (1) couple plays each week

Weeks run from Wednesday through Saturday with four couples on at team, you may only play one match a month or more depending on your team

Format: Matches will be a couple team vs couple team playing three (3) strings per match

Each Team will have a Captain Couple who will coordinate which of the four couples will play the weekly match

Matches can be played at anytime during the match week (Wednesday –Saturday)

Match time and day to be determined by the couples playing each week

One (1) point will be awarded to the team winning each string and one (1) point for the team winning the total pin count for all 3 games

Schedule will be made the beginning of the year and matches will have one week to be completed

Gross scoring (no handicapping) within each division

Please call the club to reserve the lanes once you have agreed upon a time with the couple you are playing We encourage you to enjoy dinner before or after your match with your opponents

Available times are 5:00; 6:30 & 8:00 3 strings will take approximately 1 5 hours You are free to book times outside of these, but they should not run into these times

To keep pace it is suggested that each player bowl 2 frames at a time

Place completed score sheets in the mailbox near the front door

Important as we are tracking high strings

Playoffs to be determined

Having fun is mandatory!

Cost: $20 per team will cover prizes, trophies, etc

PAINTING AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE

Thursday,November14th

Our evenings artist is Joan Muller, retired Art Educator, Fine Artist, and Illustrator who merges specialties like science and history into image making. She offers instruction for all levels of experience. For this project, Joan will use the Hudson River School model as our reference in creating a personal artwork that mirrors the way masters have worked to capture memorable vistas. She will show us pencil and watercolor techniques you can master in one class using the five rules of aerial perspective.

AN ALL AGES EVENT!

Create a festive gift, fun ornament, or delightful decoration to enhance your home for the holiday you celebrate. We will provide a selection of ceramic items and all the necessary paint supplies and colors for your project.

Once you've completed your masterpiece or pieces, we will send the items to be fired, which will take about two weeks. We'll give you a call to inform you when they're ready for pickup at the Club.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED so we can ensure an adequate supply of materials is available for you.

There will be a $5.00 service fee The cost per person will depend on the price of item you choose to paint, ranging between $10 and $40

Dear Members,

In trying to be environmentally responsible, we want to get away from paper statements and have monthly statements sent to you electronically through email.
