There is now a variety of new ProSense inductive proximity sensors. Added are 8mm triple-sensing inductive proximity sensors in fl ush and non-fl ush mounting options, which can detect ferrous metals up to a distance of 6mm. Also new are inductive proximity sensors with a metal face to provide more durable protection, with environmental ratings of IP65/66/67/68 and IP69K. They are available in 8mm, 12mm, 18mm, and 30mm barrel sizes, with convenient M8 or M12 quick-disconnect connections.

These photoelectric sensors with condition monitoring deliver capabilities not yet seen before in the market. In addition to providing solid photoelectric sensing, they provide the condition monitoring and advanced IO-Link features of the Smart Automation and Monitoring System (SAMS) portfolio, meant to eliminate downtime by simplifying troubleshooting, changeover, and setup of machines. All new SAMS products, including these new photoelectric sensors, are self-monitoring, providing internal environmental data in real-time, including temperature monitoring, relative humidity, inclination detection, and vibration monitoring. The sensor’s signal quality is displayed on LEDs on the sensor, and operating hours and time functions are available using IO-Link.
Two new photoelectric sensors are now available: • BOS0285 – a di use sensor with triangulation and a laser red light making it suitable for small part detection thanks to background suppression
• BOS0286 – a retrofl ective sensor with an LED, which can reliably detect clear objects

The EL5072 EtherCAT Terminal from Beckho enables direct connection of up to two inductive displacement sensors, including transducers in LVDT and half-bridge designs or inductive angular position sensors in the RVDT version. This means that precise position and distance measurements, such as in-process control or the control of joining processes, are possible in a compact, fi nely scalable, and cost-e ective format. The EL5072 measures just 12 mm wide for space-saving installation in the standard EtherCAT I/O system. Displacement measurement is one of the most important metrological tasks — in the industrial production environment, and in infrastructure monitoring. Examples include the measurement and inspection of workpiece geometry, the monitoring of press-fi t and joining processes, inline quality assurance, and building monitoring. With the EL5072 EtherCAT Terminal, all commercially available inductive measuring probes can be integrated into the standard control platform and evaluated without great e ort.

The Series 718 portfolio has been expanded with the compact molded M8 circular connector. The connector has a new type of 360° EMC shielding, used for the fi rst time in this environment. This shielding ensures reliable protection against EMI in even the most challenging environments, making this connector suitable for sophisticated sensor and machine vision technologies, and conveyor systems, robotics, and other industrial applications. The M8 cable connector is among the smaller size and lighter weight o erings, providing an option for applications with high-performance needs where space is limited (and will likely decrease even more in the future).

The FP 70 further expands the series of smooth fl ow liquid pumps. This product line combines the low pulsation of a gear or centrifugal pump with the strengths and advantages of diaphragm pumps. The KNF FP 70 delivers up to 850 ml/min while producing up to 29.4 PSIG (2 bar) pressure under continuous operation. Thanks to the patented 4-point valves, the KNF FP 70 is reliably self-priming, even at very low motor speeds. It also can safely run dry, handles liquid transfer gently and cleanly, and is available with chemically resistant fl ow path materials. Thanks to the integration of pulsation dampening technology, there is no need for additional pulsation dampening elements and tubing when using the KNF FP 70, thus reducing space requirements versus a pump-plus-damper approach. The versatile FP 70 is available with a selection of motors to match the functionality and lifetime requirements of the application — from high-end BLDC to lower-end DC motors. Depending on the operating parameters, the high-end BLDC motor achieves a lifetime of more than 20,000 hours.
