Achieving Net-Zero Labs How can we create a net zero science research building? •
Utilise the data that drives CO2e emissions
•
Take a holistic view to reducing CO2e emissions
•
Only build what is needed, but enable flexibility
•
Take responsibility for the impact of your building
•
Offset any remaining embodied carbon emissions
Low Carbon Now Our housing team in Toronto explore what we can do NOW to lower a development’s carbon trajectory. Three key levers: •
Build smart structures
•
Use high performing building envelopes
•
Eliminate fossil fuels
Lighting the Way to a Circular Economy How can we incorporate a circular economy approach to lighting design? It’s not just about product and the supply chain - it is crucially also about project process. Collaboration is essential.
