FBLA Champions By Marcellus Young

This year South’s FBLA team could finally compete at the first in-person State competition in three years. The team had an optimum lineup of 18 students, all of whom left the competition with an accomplishment. With 10 first place victories, South cemented their place in the competition as one of the best Wyoming FBLA teams. Not only did they earn loads of awards and recognition, but they also achieved a spot in the National Leadership Conference in Chicago. The team did

excellent in this year’s competitions, and much of this is due to the backbone of the team: Mrs. Tietjen. Mrs. Tietjen was awarded Advisor of the Year and reminded Wyoming how good South is at these competitions. “I had a great time at the competitions; we all did really well, and I will be coming back next year,” exclaimed Caleb Brewer (10). Brewer brought home two first place trophies and is excited to compete in Chicago.

The Southeast Wyoming Estate Planning Council invites professionals in the area to consider becoming a member. The SEWEPC is made up of dedicated professionals in the legal, accounting, financial services, trust and foundation professions working with clients to help them with their estate planning needs. Second Annual Laramie County Sportsman’s Expo

The second annual Laramie County Sportsman’s Expo, presented by Bish’s RV, will take place Friday, April 1 through Sunday, April 3, at the Event Center at Archer, 3801 Archer Parkway. A ZARF is coffee cup holder, usually made of metal but sometimes wood or ivory. These were first used in Turkey in the 13th century. Coffee was served in a cup without a handle. The cup was therefore place in a metal holder, or ZARF, which protected both the cup and the fingers of the person drinking the hot liquid. Mayor’s Youth Council Applications Accepted

Applications are now being accepted for the 2022-2023 Mayor’s Youth Council for communityminded teenagers who are interested in learning more about the City government, civic trusteeship and community leadership.
