Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

The Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the largest food drive in the Cheyenne area, is celebrating for the first time since 2019, on Saturday, May 14. Letter Carriers’ will collect non-perishable food donations on that day as they deliver mail along their postal routes. Post cards about the event are being delivered directly to your mailbox. People are encouraged to leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable food next to their mailbox before the regular mail delivery on Saturday, please do not include items in glass containers. Multiple local organizations will receive food from this drive and will benefit from these donations. Assisting the local National Association of Letter Carriers branch will be rural letter carriers and other postal employees, plus members of other community volunteer organizations. United Way of Laramie County is a proud partner with the Letter Carriers’ Food Drive again this year. Greater Cheyenne Spring Greenway Cleanup

Spring is here, and the City of Cheyenne appreciates the community’s continued support of the Greater Cheyenne Greenway. Members of the Cheyenne Audubon invite the public to take part in the annual Cheyenne Big Day Bird Count on May 21. Novice birdwatchers are welcome. Gardening for Success

UW Extension Horticulturist will be offering a Gardening for Success class on gardening in Wyoming at Laramie County Community College, 1400 East College Drive, on Saturday, May 21. We live in a high altitude, dry and windy location, creating challenges for growing anything from trees to vegetable gardens. In this boot camp gardening class, they will cover how to grow successfully in Laramie County.
