Tree of Remembrance Lighting Ceremony

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Hospice and the CRMC Foundation are hosting the 28th annual Tree of Remembrance lighting ceremony on December 2 starting at 1:30pm in the Davis Hospice Center lobby, 6000 Sycamore Road. Participants will be invited to place paper doves on the tree after the lighting ceremony in remembrance or honor of family members and friends. To request a paper dove via mail, contact the CRMC Foundation at 307-633-7667 or foundation@crmc wy.org. Hospice volunteers will also be handing out doves in the Davis Hospice Center lobby during the lighting ceremony and then daily from 8:00am8:00pm through December 24. The Cheyenne Historic Preservation Board, CHPB, is proud to announce the release of the 2023 Christmas ornament featuring the dome of the Wyoming State Capitol. This ornament is the fifth in a series of ornaments featuring historic structures in Cheyenne. Sales of the ornaments help fund historic preservation efforts in the city. The gold leaf dome of the Capitol is a Wyoming icon. Attached to each ornament is an actual flake of the gold leaf that at one time graced the Capitol dome. The annual Christmas Parade and Chili Feed in Hillsdale will take place on Saturday, December 16. The parade starts at 5:00pm at the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Department. The Chili Feed follows immediately at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 4325 Hills Street in Hillsdale. There is no charge for the Chili Feed but they gladly accept donations. All donations are used to support the Hillsdale Ladies Group Scholarship fund and to help neighbors in need in the Hillsdale area. Come join the fun, see the parade, enjoy the chili and a visit from Santa!
