After coming off a one goal loss last week this team went out and had an unreal game. A slow start in the first 5 minutes but the girls started to find their feet by the end of the quarter They continued to build throughout the game with many defensive turn overs and accuracy in the goal circle. Captain Bella Pollifrone went out with a bang in her WA position, coming out strong with every centre pass and Naomi Winter having another consistent game in WD Overall a good effort from this side. Well done girls. Best players were Laylah and Naomi, and awards went to Lisa (Somerset) and Naomi(Pierinas).

Kalli Brown (Laura and Vickys) and Jordyn Iovino (Sassi) were our award winners. Best players were Jordyn and Krystal.

It was a great close win in a match that went goal for goal majority of the game. We worked tirelessly all over the court in our defensive efforts and forced our opposition into errors When we maintainedpossessionoftheballandhad lots of attacking options we scored well, and this is our focus leading into the last minor round game. Donna played a solid game with her direction and smarts in the circle. Best went to Jackie and Keeley and awardswenttoJackie(HeavenonHanger) andAlice(Dentons).

An impressive 4 quarter performance girls! We started well with Daisy dominating the centre passes and connecting with well Dem & Tab who finished well Lillie finding nice touch through the midcourt and her defensive game was spot on! Lisa, Lauren & Portia working tirelessly together as a unit, contesting, and taking away space in West’s attack line to restrict their scoring. Our hard running and defensive pressure was a highlight from the first 15 minutes to last minute of the fourth. A solid team effort leading into the final minor round game. Best named were Tabatha & Lisa. Awards went to Portia (Pierinas) and Tab (New Heaven). Special thanks to Keisha andJackieforbenchsupport. Also, special mention to all volunteers who have helpedtimeandscoreeachweek.

Our focus was to play in front and time our leads into the space & swing the ball around the circle edge which enabled the team to transition the ball safely into our goalers. Everyone should be proud of their teamwork, determination and intensity displayed in this game and take this confidenceintoournextmatch.Awards: Best players: Jenna Baron & Ava Halloran sponsoredbyHalloranDiesel

We settled back into our regular combinations this week and looked to really focus on our court structures and play heading into the last round and finals. The girls made smart decisions and ensured to make that extra pass in attack whennecessarytofindthebetterfeedinto ourgoalies.Ourfullcourtdefencepressure was again on show as our goalies, mid counters and of course amazing defenders all saw many stops that we were able to converttogoalsourend.Wewillworkhard at training this week ahead of our last match against Millicent before finals! Congratulations to Raine on your 50th game, you’reasuperstarandwe’resolucky to have your athleticism and speed on our team.

Under15B’s: The conditions were slippery, but the girls did well to work the ball down our end, attempting some of the strategies we discussed at training. Penny, Georgia and Raine had some great intercepts in defence, and Zoe and Lacey provided multipleoptionswiththeirleadsinthemid court. Lily and Maggie also had some great passes into the circle, and Mia and Kelsie were able to finish with some accurate shots. Despite the wet ball, the girls had strong hands to pull the ball in. The second half saw Lily, Penny and Lacey move into goals, and they did well to get in front and were accurate with their shots. Maggie also joined Raine in defence where they had some great rebounds The girls displayedgreattransitionsfromdefenceto attack and have proven to be very versatile in their positions throughout the season. Theyhadanimpressivewin,66-6.

Another week of missing players meant new combinations and some of the girls playing out of their normal positions. It took us a little bit to settle against a strong Casterton line up, but once we found our momentumthegirlsgeneratedsomegreat passages of play The second half was stronger for the team, allowing them to establish some much-needed scoreboard pressure.Theycontinuedtoworkhaduntil the end of the game, earning an 11-point win.

Our defence wasgreatwithJustinetryinghardonsucha tall shooter, with Katie and Brianna doing wonderful in there too. Amelia and Maddy fed well to the goalies with patience and some nice passes. Ava and Georgia moved well and with confidence while finishing with some beautiful accuracy One more game to go and one more game in the yellow and black for a few of our players. Let’s give everything this week to give theseplayersawinningsendoff!!

A few changed at ½ time to add some extra height into the goal circle and give Alisha who was solid as a rock and wearing the majority of the workload worked in our favour as we came out firing lifting our intensity across court, however Casterton and upped their talk and pressure again lateinthegame, whichseemedtorattleus and unfortunately we were unable to hold onto the lead and came away with the draw

A convincing win from the girls this week. Some better attacking decisions and structures Our defensive end was dominant from the get-go, taking interceptsandcausingturnovers.Wehada focus to be disciplined and take extra passes and taking our drives, knowing we will need to do this in the coming weeks. We were able to keep a team to under 30 goals which a solid defensive effort, and Grace shot with confidence under the post this week. Noni took many interceptions throughout the mid court and goal circle and drove through the mid court in attack. Counting down to the finals - looking forward to coming together and putting outourbestperformances.
