It was also a day to celebrate a great milestone – 250 games for Kim M Intyre-Clarke…
Reliable, durable and a potential matchwinner – this player has represented the South Gambier Netball Club for 250 games and in almost all of them she has been a star
A circle defender, she has consistently polled well in association best and fairest counts, often appearing in her grade’s top five and she has plenty f club trophiesinthecabinet.
She plays a tight checking game but also reads the play well and hunts the interception, loving nothing more than powering into the centre third to take a spectacular interception…
She works hard over the shot and reboundsstronglyandisakeyplayer in transition, driving hard down courttoturndefenceintooffence…
She has played with experienced defenders and also helped develop younger team mates and she has a competitivestreaklikenoother…
They don’t come any tougher, or more determined to succeed than Maca–KimMcIntyre-Clarke…

LastSaturdaysawustakeonMillicent.Fromthe very first whistle it was a very physical match and it saw us play into their game. After a while we did finally settle and we started playing the netball we know we can The defensive pressure on the ball and Daena was getting some good rebounds and interceptions. The goalieshadtoworkhardtokeeppossessionand they used the mid court well who didn’t force the ball into the circle. We applied pressure all overthecourtwhichsloweddowntheirdriveto the scoring end. Overall the game had a lot of positivesbutunfortunatelywewentdownby8.

An amazing last round against a strong defensive Millicent side. Our girls played a solid 4 quarters, maintaining a lead throughout. Our shooters had some brilliant shots with minimal misses. Once again, our defensive side turned over the game multiple times to our benefit. The shift from defence to attack and vice versa was swiftand proactive which paid off overand over We look forward to our final round vs a competitiveEastsidebeforethefinalsseries,

We went into this game with nothing to lose. The mighty Millicent are a brilliant team even on their bad days. We started every strong playing our own game and not letting the opposition get on top of us. Starting off in goals this week we had Aleisha and Imogen who kept the Millicent defence on their toes. Backed up by Alex and Charlotte around the goal circle. Macy and Ellie once again had the job of
