A very chilly start for the girls at Casterton making it a very even match up for the first 2 quarters! Once the girls warmed a little, they had some excellent turn overs in defence and were able to move the ball swiftly through the mid court and were rewarded with some great movement and scoring opportunities in goals! Well done on another great win girls. Best players were Raven Johnson and Lia Joyce and the Subway award went toRaven.

Another great win for the girls. It was a very cold and foggy start for the girls and therefore took us a bit for the girls to wake up. Our full court defensive pressure was great to see and our new attacking combinations were working well to score most turnovers. Still lots to improve on at training but keep working hard girls! Best players were AmarlieThomsonandLucyCrowe.

Hard game today girls everyone worked really hard to get the ball Some great intercepts in the defensive end that was then rewarded by the goalies There were some great passages of play through the mid court showing great team work. Let’s keep working hard at training and putting it into our games. The JM incentive went to Brydie. Best players were Prudence JohnsonandBrydieMadden.

Well done girls on a team effort win which saw a few of the girls play out of their normal position for a change up. We had strong leads in attack and used our vision down court. JM incentive to Ella Matthews Best players were TahneeGrosserandJedaHibberd.

A hard-fought win in warm conditions. We started strong and made the most of our turnovers in defence, with our attackers converting accurately Our full court pressure continued to create opportunities for us to score. We wish
Bree a speedy recovery with her elbow and hope she’s back in the court super soon Zambreros incentive went to Mackinlee. Best players were Keelie LindnerandLaurenVanEeden.

What an amazing game we had against the Cats This group of girls are continuing to work hard and play as a team each and every week Each individual did something well and if something went wrong they worked hard to get the ball back. Defending end did an amazing job of keeping them to under 10 goals until the last quarter
Bek Millowick continued to score consistently, and Bella Pollifrone, Ella Wesoloski and Eva Bonde played an amazing defensive game. Well done ladies! Best players were Lisa GoodfellowandEvaBonde.

A great win in warm conditions! We startedstronglyworkinghardasateam defensively to give our attack end lots of scoring opportunities. Keel’s, Keish &Jacworkedtogethertostopthedrive of the Cats attack and Alice read the ball well to shut down opportunities. Ryls and Alana worked hard to gain circle edge delivery and played their role defensively. Donna played a pivotal role under the post Strong holds and voice to set up the attacking circle.AbbyandPoppywereinjectedin the second half and Abby finished accurately and Poppy used her smarts through the mid court. Another great team effort, let’s continue to build. Best players were Nikeisha Facey and JackieSunderland.

Awesome game with all players implementing a full 4 quarters of tight defence which resulted in a high volume of scoring opportunities. Lillie and Daisy working tirelessly to support Demi and Tab in the attack end. The goalie to goalie connection had the defenceunderpressureallday
Lisa led from front with her smarts on the wing and offering plenty of drive out of defence. Portia played a solid shut down roll, whilst Lauren provided us with 4 quarters of hard close contesting defence Great to see intensity maintained strong over 4 quarters. Best players were Tabatha SandersonandLisaDuldig.

Under 11s - The little Roo’s had one of our best games so far this season. Again we got off to a fantastic start but just couldn’t hold on. Our court structure was amazing and its was pleasing to see the skills we have been practicing at trainings are also being done on game day I am also very impressed with our footwork, our stepping in games has reduced significantly We just needed to look after our passestowardstheendofthegame.Welldone girls your improvement was amazing! Thank you to South for a really good game. Our best players went to Eliza and Ayla who both played agreatgameindefence.
Under 13Bs - This young West team had a couple of players missing so many of the girls playedoutofpositionagainstSouth.Thisdidn't stop their determination to win ball and contest. Hannah Jackson starting at Centre with Mackenzie Fisher at WA and Isobel RichardsandMollyThomasingoals.InDefence we had Aggie Thomas, Ruby Lamb and Chaneil Cowland.Bothteamsstruggledearlywiththeir foot work and the West girls worked hard to correct it. West struggled to convert in the goal circlebutwereupby3goalsatthequartertime break. South made some changes at quarter time and were able to peg back a couple of goals. West lead by 1 goal at half time. Both teams made multiple changes at the half time break. Hannah went to defence and Ruby went to centre. The 3rd quarter was a very even contest. With both teams score 3 goals apiece. Heading into the last quarter Chaneil came to the bench after jarring her ankle during the quarter This meant Ella McKenny, who was benching for the team, hit the court at Centre.
Hannah was back in her familiar position of GA and Molly was put into GD The westies started very strongly this quarter Ruby, Molly and Aggie were able to pull in some great intercepts With Ella's speed though the midcourt the team were able to attack swiftly Hannah's inclusion into goals seemed to spark Isobel and the 2 girls moved and shoot beautifully The West girls won the quarter 8 goals to 4. Winning the game 19-13. Best on Court was given to Hannah and Molly The game day vouchers went to Aggie and Ruby Thank you to Ella McKenny and Claire Hunter whobenchedforusthisweek.

15/Under Bs - Saturday saw our 15B team take the court against South Gambier for the first time and come away with a decent win on the board. The team was navigating some injuries andillnessbutshowedtheirdeterminationand grit and got it done. The mid court worked tirelessly in driving down the court and feeding the ball into the shooters who have clearly been doing some practice in their own time. Holly Jackson showed everyone exactly the
