Police officer injured in accident

A female police officer stationed at Nsuze police station in Ilembe District sustained moderate injuries after a police vehicle in which she was travelling was involved in a collision, in Canelands.

The accident happened on Friday last week.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the police bakkie collided with an Isuzu bakkie, at the corner of R102 and Vincent Dickenson Road.

RUSA paramedics worked to stabilize the injured officer at the scene before she was transported to a nearby medical facility for further care.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by relevant authorities.
