Ariel Ja e, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Digestive Diseases). Dr. Ja e is board-certi ed in internal medicine and gastroenterology and has advanced training in transplant hepatology and in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with liver cancer. She cares for patients with liver disease as part of both the Smilow Cancer Hospital Liver Cancer Program and the Yale New Haven Hospital Liver Transplant Program. Her clinical focus is on the care of patients with advanced and end stage liver disease, along with patients with both benign and malignant liver lesions. weekly liver multidisciplinary tumor board, prevent and treat complications of liver disease, and provide long-term follow up to monitor for recurrence and maintain liver function. As part of the Smilow Liver Cancer Program, Dr. Ja e sees patients at the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Centers in North Haven and Waterford, CT. Her current research is focused on streamlining clinical care, understanding the e ects of various medical conditions on disease course and prognosis, and improving outcomes in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, in particular patients with metabolic-associated liver disease.
