LETTER FROM THE EDITOR Hello! And welcome back to school from Winter Break! I hope you all enjoyed the time off from school and had a great time during the Holidays. January has been hectic for some as we had to get adjusted back to the school life we left behind. But I know that most of you are happy to be back to be active again in NHHS Key Club with all your friends.

Many of you will be wondering why this newsletter’s theme is “Presidents”. Well the truth is Presidents Day is coming up soon (Feb. 17th) and our club will be holding elections less than a month. I encourage every member to try running for any positions. Sincerely, YeChan Lee

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Service

Key Clubbers from North Hollywood High helped out the community instead of taking a break on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On MLK Day, January 20th, NHHS Key Clubbers headed over to the local fire station to spread Key Club vibes and helped clean up. This was one of the first official events of NHHS Key Club since school started again after the long Winter Vacation.

Rather than taking one more day off, Key Clubbers helped out in the community early in the morning. The members were divided into different groups and received different jobs to do. These jobs were mainly to help clean up and organize materials.

Conclave & January DCM Tyler Szeto was voted as the next LTG for D16 on January 18, 2014. The Conclave was held at Providence High School where the delegates from each school came to elect the next LTG. Szeto convinced her fellow White Tigers with her confident speech to win the position of D16 LTG. After the Conclave, the January DCM was held to discuss the topics about DCON.

D16, D25E & D25W’s A Splashy Salute

Come join the members of Region 7 as D16, D25E, and D25 get together at Balboa Park on February 22nd from 1 – 6PM.
