LETTER FROM THE EDITOR It’s spring! I know that the weather has been harsh lately but the sun will come out soon. California will now be back to its original sunny condition and we can enjoy ourselves out in the warm days. Half of our semester is now over, and we only have 10 more weeks of the year left. This would mean we only have 10 more weeks with our current Key Clubbers!
DCON is less than 2 weeks away and the 2013-2014 term ends in less than 2 weeks. This is the last newsletter of this term. This year has been wonderful as D16 Tigers and NHHS Key Club had successful term. Let’s say ‘Thank You’ and ‘Good Bye’ for our current officers and welcome the new board for the next term. club Mentor Elementary Students What: Go to Colfax Elementary to be a role model to kids from 1st to 5th grade. Help them do homework and take care of them while they play outside. It’s a serious event so please try to help if you do come instead of just “hanging out” When: Mon-Thurs Afterschool-6:30pm (*minimum of two hours) @ Colfax Elementary. *Tell the board members if you go so that they can keep a track of your hours.
Mutt-shack Animal Rescue What: Petco needs volunteers to care and love pets that will be up for adoption. These pets are in dire need of comfort. When: Saturdays from 10-6pm and Sundays from 126pm @ 3525 West Victory Blvd. Burbank CA 91505 *Notify the board members to sign up for a shift

advertisements Shakey’s Fundraiser What: NHHS Key Club will be hosting an event at Shakey’s to raise money for March of Dimes. March of Dimes Foundation helps mothers achieve full-term pregnancies and provide babies the opportunity to have a healthy start in life. So if you love babies, stop by and show your support! When: Friday, April 4th 5-8pm @ Shakeys Pizza Restaurant (5321 Laurel Canyon Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91607)

Powder Puff Fundraiser On April 1st, 2014, NHHS Key Club sold various edible goods to raise money for club funds at the Powder Puff game. Key Clubbers stood against the cold wind to sell hot chocolate and cookies to the audience. The members set up the table, decorated it, and warmed up the water for the hot chocolate. In the end, the homemade cookies were sold out and NHHS Key Club raised a decent amount of money.
March DCM D16 White Tigers had the last DCM of the year 2013-2014 at John Burroughs HS on March 29th, 2014. Key Clubbers met to discuss transportation to DCON and decided to adopt turquoise to officially become a D16 color. There were ice breakers and enjoyable games after going over all business meeting. NHHS Key Clubbers got together with other White Tigers and participated in different activities. DCM concluded with a spirit session where White Tigers went over couple cheers and battled for the spirit sticks. Although the Santa Clarita region won, NHHS took home a spirit stick after successfully winning among Burbank region schools.

CNH Board Leadership Team Application Do You want to be more active in Key Club? Do You think you have what it takes to be a leader? Do You want to be a part of CNH District Leadership Team? JOIN NOW! Clubbers’ Farewells Since this is the last newsletter of this term, some of NHHS Key Club members/officers would like to leave a message for our club. Bryan Palma: “Thank you everyone for wonderful year of service! It has been my pleasure being in this club. Through the good and the bad I feel like you guys have become my friends and family. I know I have built some long lasting friendships with some of you. I would not trade being in Key Club for anything! Our term is nearly done and I am proud to say we have provided an amazing year of service to the community!” Hogan Tran: "It's been a great 3 years serving with you fellow White Tiger! Thank you for the great memories throughout these past years!"
