Club Rush On September 14th, North Hollywood Key Club participated in the Club Rush held during lunch at North Hollywood High School. The Club Rush was open to every club of NHHS and it was used as an opportunity for NHHS Key Clubbers to raise money for AIDS Walk and PTP. Key Clubbers sold lemonade for a $1 each. They prepared 8 gallons of lemonade and had every drop sold! The Club Rush was a
success in fundraising for our goals, but it was also successful in advertising Key Club to the study body. Whenever a student came to the booth to purchase a cup of lemonade, they were also informed about Key Club. In the end, the Key Clubber had fun selling and interacting with other students.

Region 7 held their annual Regional Training Conference and John Burroughs High School on September 28th. All Region 7 schools were invited to attend the annual conference. There was a registration fee of $7 which covered the expense of food and also went towards PTP. Many workshops were offered to those who attended. These workshops were hosted Region 7 LTGs and the board members Key Clubbers, especially officers, were able to hone their skills and.
learn more about community services. After the general training conference, D16 started their DCM. During the meeting, various topics were discussed. Future events such as AIDS Walk, KIWNS Rose Parade, and Fall Rally South were mentioned. DCON was also discussed during the meeting.
Trick or Treat for UNICEF
North Hollywood High School is now receiving orders for Trick or Treat for UNICEF boxes. These boxes will be used for collecting donations instead of collecting candies for Halloween. These donations will be going to UNICEF, a non-profit organization which helps children in third world countries. Trick or Treat for UNICEF started in Pennsylvania in 1950 and it kept its legacy going on to 2013. Trick or Treat for UNICEF provides nutrition, clean water, education,
and emergency reliefs and so much more to children in over 190 countries and territories. Not only NHHS Key Clubbers are participating but also Key Clubbers around the nation as well. Families, schools, and other groups are also helping for a greater cause. Even small donations can make a big difference.
