Ultrasound Scan
What is an Ultrasound scan?
Ultrasound imaging is a specialised scan that uses high frequency sound waves to obtain real-time images of internal body structures and organs. Ultrasonic waves are inaudible and cause no sensation.
Are there any risks involved?
Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique and a painless imaging procedure. It does not involve the use of ionising radiation and is deemed safe even for pregnant women.
